    This beer contains a healthy amount of roasted barley, which has a very similar flavor profile to coffee. Dry, bitter, chocolate, etc.

    I would suggest finding out if they like coffee and explaining that stouts have similar flavors. Or if they like a certain dessert, there is probably a stout out there made with the same ingredients and flavors. Or maybe start with a brown and and work towards Stout from there.

    Yes! We try to find excuses to go outside and pick ingredients. Whether it’s spruce needles or touring a hop yard. Also, our brewery is in a pretty great area for outdoor adventures.

    We are hoping that flavors of the stout will carry over into the whiskey. Additional roastiness, and perhaps coffee and chocolate notes.

    Yes we will! We had plans to bring a canned nitro version of Super Delicious to market this year, but have put that plan on hold due to the can shortage. But we will make it in the future asap.

    Honestly, not sure. This is the first time we’ve aged this particular beer in maple bourbon barrels. But if you do, please report back!

    I have gone from zero to curl multiple times. Probably won’t go bare lip anytime soon. The family just requested I bring the curls back!

    You could try it! I am not sure if all of the flavors would be intact after distilling, but it’s worth a shot. Let us know how it turns out!

    It has been a challenge, no doubt. The immediate change was the lack of kegging beer and the explosion of packaged product in cans and bottles. We have also had to deal with supply chain issues and insane shipping costs. But ultimately, we can’t complain. We’ve been able to keep our crew working and healthy, so all good. We are pretty familiar with adapting and rolling with the punches.. We started delivering beer locally and selling beer and food directly to people utilizing staff that otherwise would have been laid off.

    Iron Fish made that decision, we are just one part of the life of these barrels.
