With my normal trade ammo of 4 bottles of NG 750ml can you guys toss me some recommendations on good boozy beers that might match up to these price wise? I know all the big name ones but maybe some good gems on the east coast I have never heard of. When I say boozy I mean strong taste/smell of bourbon/whiskey to them.

The Kuhnhenn 2 Year whiskey barrel american imperial stout is the booziest beer I've ever had. It's like pouring a shot of whiskey into a 12oz. stout.

+1. Definitely the most spirit-forward beer I've had.

Guessing that is going to be super hard to land

It might not be as hard as you may think. I traded one of mine for 2x BCBCS. I wasn't a huge fan of the beer though. It will probably take a bit more than shelf stuff but not huge whales. Maybe a Darkness+?

Not whiskey/bourbon but Old Stock 2011 Cellar Reserve aged in Brandy Barrels is very boozy and prob not as hard to get at the moment. You might be able to get that locally though so this might not help for trade ideas. :slight_frown:

I think you can get Weyerbacher, but Insanity has a ton of bourbon IME and should be easy to get.

You might also try DuClaw Hell on Wood. Not as boozy, but tasty and available.

boulevard's rye on rye should be attainable for ~$15 of shelf stuff.

when that's less than a year old or so, watch out.
