Bored at work

    Work is pretty slow today, and as I sit here I think to myself... If I was going to die tomorrow what beers would I drink today. For me it would be

    - KBS and BCBCS in the morning
    - Both Pliney's in the afternoon
    - Hopslam and Double Crooked Tree until I passed out

    If you knew you were going to die tomorrow what beer would you drink?

    Beer drinking would be quite a ways down the list of things to do.

    Obviously, but since this is beer advocate I figured we'd stick to the beer you would drink that day.

    Realistically you most likely wouldn't be able to drink the whole cellar, which ones would you go for first?

    As I work nights in a operating room...if I was at work and just found out I was going to die tomorrow I would probably go punch every asshole doctor I have ever run into. Then I would have a beer.

    i'd start with the funkwerks white, move over to the judgement day and sixth glass quads, then sample the firestone walker XV and succaba, then work on the ten fidy and old raspy. finish the day with the 120 minute ipa down there. i'm not figuring on drinking all of each bottle, but sampling the ones that i'm the most excited about that i'm sitting on right now. it's so hard to cellar beer, i want it now!

    For the record I do not have all the beers I've listed. It's a hypothetical situation where you have access to every beer in the world.

    I feel like I'd have to crack open one of the ones I've been saving, but that would suck if I tried them, didn't like them and then died...

    I work in psych- so sadly the doctors would be at the bottom of my list, but there would be a few....

    Well this changes things for me. I would drink whatever hypothetical beer helps me not die. But I can't say the same for these white devils.

    I would drink down my cellar as much as I could. Black Note first, then a King Henry, some KBS, an Arctic Devil, some FW15, CW BBBW, more KBS, more King Henry ... and I'm pretty sure I would be passed out by then.

    Hypothetical beer just isn't a style I've ever really gotten into. I'd probably dig into my cellar and try a little of everything. I'd start with BCBS Rare, Black Note, BCBS Vanilla and Coffee, BA Hi-Fi, Cantillon, etc.

    You heard correctly. Not quite at the same level as King Henry, but better than Abacus, MoAS, CW BBBW, Bligh's, etc. IMO.
