Borefts

So.. We people still thinking of meeting up in Utrecht on Thursday night for a pint or two?

Me and thepeter should be in Utrecht 5-6 PM ish. Our train from London arrives in Brussels @ 10 AM and we are gonna chug Fou Foune and Gueuze that morning at Cantillon load up on bottles and bust out!

What is the plan of attack gentlemen?

 

If you're still in the States, pick us up some Great Lakes Nosferatu, I'd love some of that stuff

 

This is what I did:

I took the entire list of beers available on the festival. I organized them from the lowest abv to the highest abv. Then I looked them individually which were interesting. Out of the 134 I selected 60 brews I defo want to try. 20 of them are benched. Then I sort of divided up the beers. I start with the lowest abv and I work my way up to the highest during the day. I also took in account the heavily populair beers. So day one will be interesting and I don't know how my liver will handle day 2.

 

No Great Lakes in Mass

 

I won't be able to make it Thursdaynight due to work. Gotto make sure I can be done with work to pound some serious beer on Friday.

 

I'm afraid I'm going to have to cancel for the Thursday night as well. The missus belongs to a running group and she won't let me leave our three year old home alone. The only way I will be able to make it out is if she bails on her running group, which she's unlikely to do. She's running a race on Sunday. Unless it rains of course. Then she's a huge sissy.

Check your phone around 7pm on Thursday. If I can make it out, I'll post here. I'll head down to Cafe Belgie at Oudegracht 196. Best place in town.

I booked a return flight from Amsterdam about three months ago, not planning on using the return portion (return cost was cheaper than one way). I chose the return date at random, with my flight arriving the morning of the 28th.

Hmmm I call that fate! I hope to meet some of you there, looking forward to some great beers. Flying in from Portland, Oregon. Drop me a beermail if anyone wants to hang out and have a couple of beers during the festivities.
