I saw at least 4cs of KBS at Kappys in Falmouth today. Just hanging out in their backroom off their walk in if anyone is looking for a good find.

I guess thats a positive of that place being a haven for old craft beer.

my sister was in cape cod last year and she grabbed me some stuff from Moonshine Liquors in Hyannis...checked out their facebook and gave them a call

just asked to speak w/ someone who is knowledgeable on their craft section...gave him an idea of stuff i would be interested that's not available to me and they got a package around that was ready for my sister to buy when she got there

    check them out

    Gonna jump in on this.

We're heading to cape cod from NYC on Sunday and will be there for a week. Any brewreries or spots to hit up along the way or while we're there? I think we'll try to hit up Devil's Purse and Nor'easter Beer garden. We're gonna have our toddler with us, so how kid friendly are these places?

    Thanks!

Hog Island (Orleans) is very kid friendly. Lots of little ones running around last time I was there. It's a nice spot with good live music, too.

Devil's Purse is toddler friendly but it's small and often more crowded than I'd like with kids. It's a mob scene on Saturdays. Hit it mid-afternoon during the week. Hog Island has way less selection than Devil's Purse but has a fantastic indoor and outdoor space. Enjoy!

Where on the cape? Falmouth is quite a long way from Provincetown. So it can make a pretty big difference.

Thanks! We're gonna be in Brewster for a few days and then Chatham for a few days. But we're planning on making a day trip out of Provincetown and are open to other day trips as well.

I don't know Chatham well. I hear the Red Nun has a pretty decent tap list. The best liquor store in Brewster, by far, is Luke's. Should have some pretty solid options. The Cape in summer, understandably I think, tends to prioritize lighter, summery beers. You won't find many imperial stouts or boozy Quads on tap or even in stores. I usually just go with the flow.

Lost Dog Pub in Dennis has a few decent beers on tap, it's near the Brewster line just off 6A. I had the Devil's Purse Kosch there last year and liked that. We go to Chapins in Dennis all the time, but the tap list is pretty ordinary. Chapin beach is great though.

British Beer Co. in Hyannis is good, but I wouldn't go anywhere near Hyannis given where you are staying. The stretch of 6A from Dennis to Orleans is quite nice, and has enough stuff. Nor'East Beer Garden in P-Town has a nice list for sure.

There's a new place in Dennisport mentioned in the article posted above called Clear and Anchor. Depending on where you are in Brewster, it's probably 25 minutes drive. Best tap list in the Dennis/Brewster/Chatham area that I have seen. Red Nun (Dennisport) has a decent selection with what I would call summery craft beer. I love Lost Dog ... their best craft selections are aformentioned Devil's Purse Kolsch, Cape Cod Red, Harpoon IPA, Dales, Lagunitas IPA and last week they had a Barb's Beer offering. That list is pretty typical for a "good" place on the Cape. Red Nun and Cleat and Anchor are well above that.
