Wasn't sure if this should be posted on one of the TH/Trillium threads or not, so I`ll throw it out here for all.

Wife and I are planning to attend the Pearl Jam shows at Fenway on 9/2 & 9/4, looking to visit Tree House (Fri/Sat) and Trillium (Sun/Tue) at least while in town. We are not looking to pay the ridiculous hotel prices in town proper, but don`t want to be too far out.

Question: Is there a source of public transportation that would get us going the right direction towards Trillium Canton after the shows? We will have a car so driving won`t be an issue, but we are not trying to drive into town proper for the shows.

I know this is very vague but until I get responses I`m not sure how to further explain. Basically, trying to find public transportation OUT of Boston after the shows towards cheaper lodging / AirBNB in vicinity of Trillium Canton area.

There's the commuter rail to Norwood, but it'll stop running long before the Pearl Jam show is over. You could stay somewhere in Newton and just take the T from Kenmore (near Fenway) to Riverside. There's plenty of parking at the Riverside station, and there are hotels in the Newton / Waltham area.

Treehouse is a good 1+ hour west of the city so a car will be needed. Most likely will be packed there as its the holiday weekend. So plan for lines(unless things change in the next few months.) Trillium downtown has cans but NO pours. Canton is about 45 minutes outside of the city. You can probably find a commuter rail that is close but they will be closed if you are trying to go after a concert? Also keep in mind Canton is South of Boston and can be a nightmare getting into the city, even on a weekend.

Echoing what Matt said, I think the closest thing to what you are looking to do would be to get a hotel in Newton. From there you have the Green Line that will take you from Riverside right to Fenway (or further into Boston if you want), and you'll be close to both I-90 and I-95, which will put you about 25 minutes from Trillium Canton and just shy of an hour from Tree House.

Yeah I agree staying in Newton and taking the green line would be your best bet. Check AirBNB too.

By then the Trillium brewpub may be open in Fort Point. If not then you still have the original Fort Point brewery to grab cans and the beer garden downtown for pints(I'm assuming they are doing that again starting this spring). All of that makes Trillium Canton unnecessary for your trip.

If the Trillium Garden in Roslindale (it's in an old train station) is still open then you could stay there. Then just drive to Canton to pickup cans at your convenience.
