I'm driving from north of Boston to Lake Placid for a bachelor party in the beginning of February. It looks like the route I'd take it 89N to Exit 3, VT-107W to VT-12N.

It's not a huge deal to find beer on the way up (it's a long enough trip as it is), but are there any stops along that route that would find me some Vermont treats? Fiddlehead? Maybe with the increase in production a store that would sell Sip of Sunshine? Maybe something else you Vermonters know to be along that route?

Depending on what time you'll be passing through, the Worthy Burger, in Royalton, VT, is in between exits 2 and 3. Most of the time they have a couple Hill Farmstead beers on tap and Sip of Sunshine as well. Two months out there is no telling what will be on but they are very good about posting their taplist on their Facebook page. One of the best burgers in the area, IMO!

As for stores, the Royalton Market is right on the the green there as you come into the center of town and they have a decent selection, although no Lawsons or Fiddlehead that I've ever seen there.

I do know that as of now, Woodstock Hops N Barley, which is a bit of a drive off exit 1, does get Sip of Sunshine every other Tuesday.

Reviving this thread because this trip is the weekend after next.

It looks like the route I'd take it 89N to Exit 3, VT-107W to VT-12N. I f'd around on the Alchemist website and it doesn't seem like there's much being delivered close to my route on Friday. Looks like I'm out of luck for Lawson's SoS, too. Does anyone know anything about Fiddlehead distro? I'd like to bring something good from VT without having to detour on what is already a long-ass drive.

Anyone in the area got any ideas?

Not that I'm trying to avoid loading up on Bell's in NY, but it'd be cool to contribute something most people don't get (including myself).

I'm just going to add a little voice from experience here. The route you are planning on taking may be the shortest but given this time of year it will be a slow rough ride on Vt107 and 12. I'd would recommend that you get off 89 at exit 1 and take route 4 to Rutland then take 7 north from there. I am sure in time driven it will be quicker and also it puts you through Woodstock for a stop at Hops N Barley who has a great selection. Worthy Kitchen is in Woodstock also a great Tap list and also Foley Bros is off of route 4 in Brandon. I've heard that Fiddlehead gets distro in the Rutland area but not sure what stores.

Living on the other side of the pond, (champlain) so to speak, how do you plan on getting across?

Google Maps gave me the route I posted above. Is there a better way?

If you're replying to me, you've lost me at route 12n which is where your directions stop. I'm familiar with route 12n it doesn't go to ny. Are you taking 12n to 125, etc etc etc and crossing over on ny 185w ob the other side of middlebury?
