For those of you who ship beer out of Boston, do you prefer to use UPS or FedEx? Always used UPS back in KY but haven’t shipped anything from up here. Thanks in advance!

I use FedEx and drop in a box so I don’t have to speak to anyone
But a lot of ppl use UPS

Thanks Tonmo. No digital scale to print labels at home, so I’ll be dropping off in store.

You can get a really cheap scale on Amazon if you're worried about it. I think I paid under $20 for mine.

I'm not from your area but I think this may be good info. I haven't used either in ages, I have exclusively used USPS over the past few years, except for an international box sent to Toronto.

Flat rate boxes from USPS are hard to beat, being that you're in an urban area I'm sure boxes get out quick to their destination. I've never had them ask me what is in it at post office either just the "anything liquid, explosive, etc.." a quick "no" is easier to me than telling UPS/Fedex what is in the box, both places ask specifically at the stores I used to use.

This is what sold me completely on flat rate: I have had flat rate boxes make it to Seattle and Bellingham WA in 48 hours for $20, as a comparison I shipped the same amount of beer via fedex once $40 and a week later it arrived, UPS had the same ETA.

i just guess the weight, it’s never been an issue. 3lbs for 750:, 1lbs for cans. Add 1 or 2 for packaging

Mostly UPS. USPS med/large flat rate for smaller shipments. Hard to beat the speed/price ratio on USPS as @jonphisher mentioned.

Use a drop off site, CVS, so no questions asked.

And if you order those flat rate boxes online at usps they are free. Can’t be free packaging.

When I’ve used USPS I’ve never been questioned either. Just drop/scan and go.

Late to the party bc I've been off the forums for nearly 2 weeks, but always FedEx for me. Never any questions and an easy drop off

This right here. Used to use UPS but switched to USPS. Can't beat the flat rate fees as well as the free boxes that you can pick up at the post office. No questions ever asked. I get regular shipments from someone in Seattle and he always uses USPS as well.

USPS large flat rate can fit 16 x 16oz cans properly packed. Across the country in 2 days for $22. Can’t beat it.
