Going to Boston in a couple weeks for a bruins game, I know all about trillium and Jacks Abby, I have had night shift a handful of times but never been to the brewery. I know it's not right in Boston I'll take the ride over to it. Just wondering if it's worth the taxi ride over and if they have a lot of bottles for sale etc. Also any input on bottles shops and craft bars to hit in Boston Cambridge area. Thanks guys!
Night Shift normally has a good amount of bottles for sale, yeah. it's a doable cab/uber ride away from downtown and it's a cool place to visit, I recommend it if you are into tasting rooms etc. it's in an industrial area but it's a fun place to go for sampling etc
While you're at Night Shift, hit Mystic and Idle Hands as well. Bars: Lord Hobo and Deep Ellum. If you like seafood and have a bottomless wallet, hit Row 34. Shops: Craft Beer Cellar, Ball Square Fine Wines, Liquor World.
if you have teh patience you can do it by bus, also you could use the t to sullivan square and then take a cab. Or figure out about bringing up some ct brews arrange an IP trade and ask them to help you get top said breweries.
Agree w the trillium /row 34 combo -- the absolute bomb. Lord hobo/deep Ellum 2 and 3 for me. If you are at the hobo -- a nice mini crawl includes the iconic Cambridge brewing company and mead hall both down the street. Publick house a little farther out but also top top notch. Good luck !
I take the T to Night Shift all the time. It's a short walk from the Wellington T stop on the orange line (cabs are usually there, too, if you prefer). One stop away at Assembly is the new Slumbrew tap room, too. Night Shift is pretty good about updating their online list of available beers. http://www.nightshiftbrewing.com/visit-night-shift/on-tap/
