New trader here, so wanted to get an opinion.

For bottles that come boxed (e.g. FW Proprietors Reserve series), is it important to include the boxes when making a trade? Obviously there may be exceptions to the rule but I am curious to a general rule of thumb.

Also want to know before I throw such boxes away.

I apologize if this has been covered before but didn't see anything when searching.

I would say include them regardless, or ask your trading partner if they want them. Some of the FW boxes have slips of paper inside describing the blends they did to create the beer, which people I assume might find interesting.

Just remember to take the bottle out of the box, wrap with bubble wrap, and fold the box flat. Also, include pictures of Natalie Portman's posterior, that is always appreciated (like Mordor said).

Take the bottle out. Pack it well. Flatten the box and put it at the top.

Thanks guys...I figured as much but just wanted to make sure I wasn't totally off base.

And I'll take the Natalie Portman advice under consideration. Sounds better than my plan of Willem Dafoe.

I've sent 2 boxed bottles recently. One I sent the box, the other I forgot to add the box. My trade partner didnt care either way. But I'd add it by default.
