Best IPA from Wisconsin. They also brew the best Rye Ale in Wisco. Can't wait for these guys to get in bottles.

Hess out of San Diego has a bottling line, but hasn't used it yet. Should happen soon.

Alpine has toyed with the idea of canning Hoppy Birthday, and given their bottling track record (lots of flat bottles every year) canning would be a great idea for all of their beers. Pint cans, to boot.

I would like Horny Goat, Chameleon & Big Bay to please STOP bottling and selling beers. They're giving Milwaukee a bad name.

Founders The Chronic had just been on tap for a few weeks at the brewery and just amazed me! I couldn't get enough and now it's gone... :slight_frown: I have a feeling if they put that in cans/bottles it would be a knock out!

Be careful what you wish for. A local brewery that makes something great and then decides to bottle cuts your supply. Instead of heading to your local brewery to fill up a growler or knock down a pint, you would be competing with every Tom, Dick and Harry who will grab limited supply and send it all over country.

good point but if the brewery has any values theyll take care of the local customer first....i went up to vermont for heady topper at the brewery, and every food store in the region had it by the case so hopefully similar beers that transitioned from brewery-only to full distribution will have the same love for the local customer...HOPEFULLY

WHAT IF, Surly canned Darkness and dipped the top third of the can in wax? Wouldn't even be mad.

Or Ripple, their Boat-like session beer. I also visited the brewery recently. Cool place, and they have some neat brewery only beers.

Fort Point pale ale from Trillium in 16oz cans would be ridiculous. I don't really care much for Julius.

Sorry to bomb the thread but, if every awesome beer that was made by a small brewery got bottled/canned, what would be the point of travelling to faraway brewpubs/taprooms to try things you've never heard of? Discovering an excellent beer that's relatively unknown when visiting a new area is what makes being a beer enthusiast so invigorating. Also, isn't it nice having a small local brewery's beer regularly that a large percentage of beer lovers aren't aware of? I admit, Funky Buddha bottling Maple Bacon Coffee Porter this year is something I'm very happy about because I have a Florida friend who might procure some and send it to me, but the awesome thing about that brewery and that beer is they don't have to bottle it since it's so good that they know people will drive hundreds of miles to taste it. I understand wanting to share the love but, if the brewery doesn't need to package and distribute their star beer, why force it?

Heady is only distributed to local stores, if you went to the cannery when it was open you waited in line with people from New Jersey and Rhode Island every Monday. When small Microbreweries begin to can or bottle their beer they attract new people and your local brewery turns into everyone's vacation destination.
