ok today i had a major pain in the ass trying to bottle with this bottle capper that came with my Northern Brewer kit, broke 2 bottles, lost one cos the glass got inside the beer, dont know if it was me but that thing was garbage imho.

I saw this agata bench capper, anyone has any experience with this Or any other cappers and can recommend any?

Ill stay with the plastic bottles for now and will be stacking my bernards and grolsch bottles to avoid capping bottles but i was hoping to use a capper and enjoy openning my beers the way god want me to do it lol

Bench cappers are a beautiful thing. You get your height right and find the right amount of pressure to apply, bing bam boom.

I have a wing capper that doesn't take stubbies and some other crowns properly. The release feels like I'm going to break the bottle on some. I tend to label those as "toss" bottles and make sure I don't reuse them. I also drink those first in case I have carbonation issues.

Bench cappers are great if you have the space and the buck to do it. If not, try out a different wing capper. Some work better than others, and for me, some bottles work better than others. Bench cappers always seem to have less hitches and problems overall. You can even use threaded bottles if you're careful.
