    Hi mds169,

I have gathered these 44 beer caps representing 33 U.S. states seen below and am ready to send them to you. All that I will ask as payment is that you follow Jaycase's suggestion above and share a photo here of your finished flag for us to see. Just take a digital photo of your flag and upload it to your computer, then use the "New Post" option at https://imgur.com/ to get a web link for your photo. Once you've done that, you can just copy and paste the link into a post here.

Once you've shared that with myself and all the other curious lurkers here, then I will gladly drop these beer caps representing 33 states in the mail for you:

Alabama - Back Forty, Alaska - Alaskan, Arkansas - Diamond Bear, Califorinia - Sierra Nevada/Anchor/Lagunitas, Colorado - New Belgium/Coors, Connecticut - Two Roads, Delaware - Dogfish Head, Florida - Cigar City, Georgia - SweetWater, Hawaii - Kona, Idaho - Laughing Dog, Illinois - Goose Island, Indiana - Upland, Louisiana - Abita/Bayou Teche/Parish, Maine - Sea Dog, Maryland - National Bohemian, Massachusetts - Samuel Adams/Harpoon, Michigan - Bell's/Founders, Mississippi - Lazy Magnolia, Missouri - Budweiser, Montana - Big Sky, Nevada - Great Basin, New York - Southern Tier, Ohio - Great Lakes, Oklahoma - Prairie/Choc, Oregon - Rogue/Full Sail, Pennsylvania - Rolling Rock, Rhode Island - Narragansett, Texas - Shiner/Lone Star, Vermont - Magic Hat, Virginia - Devil's Backbone, Washington - Redhook, Wisconsin - Leinenkugels/Miller

You'll still have 17 more states to go beyond what's here, but you'll be well on your way. See my previous posts in this thread for some tips on how you might go about acquiring the rest.

I'll be on the lookout for your flag picture here, and then I'll send you the caps. Thanks!

This is the "problem" with these sorts of projects. It is unlikely these crowns actually came from breweries in these states - most of BBC's beers are brewed and bottled in their big breweries in OH and PA; Narrangansett's beers are primarily brewed in NY at Genesee brewery; Rolling Rock hasn't been brewed in PA since 2006 (when AB bought the brand); National Bohemian (then a Stroh brand) left MD in the late 1990s after they closed the Baltimore brewery.

One would have to still have the bottle for the coding to actually know which state beers like Budweiser, Kona, Coors Light, Sierra Nevada, Miller HL, New Belgium, Redhook, etc. were bottled in. (These are also popular examples of errors on on many bars' beer menus - if you're sitting in NYC or Los Angeles or many other regions, you're not going to be served "St. Louis Budweiser" or "Colorado Coors Light" or "Wisconsin Miller Lite", etc.)

Of course, if one is just interested in beers that some how "represent" the state, they work.

You make a good point jesskidden, and I understand where you’re coming from. I guess it just depends for the flag that mds169 is making whether he needs bottle caps that merely represent those states or ones that were actually splashed by beer that was produced in those states. Personally I’m not so technical about something like that for a project of this type, but I can understand how it would be an issue to some people, so it’s worth noting and pointing out. I suppose that’s for mds169 to ultimately decide.

That might be a good second flag he could make - brands once associated with a state but no longer brewed there. So:

    Rolling Rock - PA
    Ballantine Ale - NJ
    Rainier or Olympia - WA
Olde English 800 or Henry Weinhard - OR
    Stag - IL
    Stroh - MI
    Schaefer - NY
    Hamms - MN

@mds169 , let us know if you need help posting the photo. It would be great to see your finished project.

Perhaps mds169 will post back and prove me wrong, but I think it's safe to say that the original poster here is no longer seeking out the requested state beer caps. I never heard anything back from him here nor by private message after my offer to send him the 33 state caps seen in my post above. After his initial posts here, he really only ever responded with a few quick one liners, and he mentioned a backup plan and later said his flag was finished, so I'm assuming he went with his backup plan. Anyway, my offer above still stands for the time being if you're interested mds169. Otherwise, I suppose that's that.

Hi I am searching everywhere for a cap that has a capitol P on it. It’s my last missing letter for a diy project. I’m curious if you were ever able to find one for your project. If so it will give me hope to keep looking.

Or if anyone else knows of a beer cap with a capitol p. I’d like to know what kind of beer to purchase... thanks. I’d love to get my diy project done soon.

I assume that you're looking for a cap where the 'P' is prominent and is not the only graphic on the cap. I can't think of one off the top of my head, but I'll search my list to see if I have any possibilities. Have you researched what is in the marketplace for which breweries that have a 'P' cap that might fit your needs?
