I recently bought a bottle of Meantime navel college old porter and Hop wired from 8wired. I don't see any bottles dates. Where are the bottle dates?
My Meantimes all have codes, but I haven't been able to find the decoding secret to them. I have looked online and talked to the shop owner. No luck.
Taking the date off the Naval since that's what he has. BBE 23 05 15 L121447 14:24 Now that I see it writen instead of etched into the bottle, I am guessing the top line is the best by date It's on the neck, btw OP. It is next to impossible to see.
I'd guess the second line is likely the bottling date, since that could correspond to May 23, 2012 - "12" the year, "144" the day of a leap year = May 23. So they'd be using a 3 year shelf life (!).
