Bottle Logic 2018 (Q2)

Though for some that is part of it, don't rule out that their stouts are also the best in the area (nay, the entire world), and some of us really love them.

 

I'm just happy they've been ramping up those releases. This is the 3rd Stasis sale in a little over a month (Staff of Asir was 5/20, Ground State was 6/3, and these are 6/24), and with it being a double release, that means 4 Stasis drops in a little over a month. Yowza. Have a feeling it's gonna be a crazy summer for BL. Think that's something all of us can get behind.

 

Oh it's THOSE beers. Easy pass as they were one of the worst at WoL. Didn't care for shake at all at bruery anniversary.

I didn't enjoy the shakes too much. Might grab my allocation and end it. BUT, I've been a fan of every strong ale released so far since joining Level up last year. Heck, I might enjoy those more than the pastry stouts overall, if I really dig in and search my feelings.

I, for one, hope they keep releasing these.

 

What's your point? Am I not allowed to not like beer or something?

 

Is it strange that shake has been on tap at the tasting room for about a month and now they are doing the bottle release? Seems backwards compared to normal.

Because their Strong Ales are diabeetus bombs. They're like drinking Aunt Jemima pancake syrup mixed with vanilla extract. I'm fine with them doing things other than stouts, but Spice Must Flow and Staff of Asir and Red Rover and that apple pie beer and Shake Rattle Roll are all just too sweet for me.

 

Oddly enough, the only reason I even buy the non stouts is for trade value. I don't like the strong ales at all, so I only buy my guaranteed 1 if I have a trade set up for it (and never buy the full allotment).

 

I'd be down for a double barrel strong ale/barleywine (with nothing added) from them made kinda like DSN.

 

On that note, I really liked staff of asir base beer. If they could bottle that with no adjuncts, that would be cool.

 

Any reviews on Shake Rattle and Roll low fill pours?

 

I mean, the beer's been on tap in the tasting room for like the past month. Can't be too different from that.

okay ... got 2 for Smile ... not a total loss for me.

 

Well the Something to Smile About is lasting a lot longer.

 

5 times I went to put bottles of STSA in cart and landed back on the sale page. 5 times! Twice at 12:30. Twice at 12:36 and once more for extra frustration at 12:42. Can't express adequately how obnoxious and aggravating this can be.

 

These seemed harder than most - 3 bottles per + smaller allotment seems to be the reason why. I got some, but friends missed out.
