Space trace. Tasted like straight mounds

 

Anyone have a pour of STF '16?

I had it on tap when it was released and it tasted like liquid samoas, '17 not so much.

 

Huh? What the...? LoL.

 

So I went from forgetting to buy my pre-sale bottles, then not getting public sale bottles and finally showing up to BL to get in an empty line and then be the guy who gets told by Monica that every beer got poured and that's it. That was quite a shitty day yesterday lol.

 

dude if you would have hit me up, I would have given you some sippy poohs out of my selection.

 

Anyone there for pick-ups? If so, how is the crowd looking?

 

I was there at opening until about 1. Both rooms seating areas were full but there weren't lines for pours at either the main bar or the back bar. Bottle pickups were quick and easy too. There's also self serve water jugs set up at the back of the back bar.

 

Just got back from grabbing bottles; place is crowded, but not FOb3 release level of crowded. There was no line to pick up bottles, which is nice.

Also, and I say this as someone who usually genuinely enjoys collecting beer related collectibles: are the Bottle Logic brand Boy Scout Merit Badge Patches like a thing now?

 

Yes, I was there around 12:15 PM. Pickup only took a couple of minutes, like you said no line.

No line when I stopped by around 5:45pm, will probably come back tomorrow to try everything on tap.

 

Patches are the new whalez.

 

Apparently Bottle Logic is pouring Aku Aku, Might & Magic, Show Your Work, and Berlinear Guava on Saturday. Anyone have any idea what those first two are?

 

I was at BL around 3-4 and didn't see the Ak Aku or Might & Magic on the tap list. Space Trace was great on tap, I also enjoyed Antolia Skull (WoL pour) quite a bit! The Kolsch is excellent if you're looking for a crushable and sessionable beer.

 

Speaking of, Noble had a beer literally called Samoas. And it was amazing. Check it out if you're local (before it's gone). As good as Space Trace IMHO.

 

Hearing for FO release, they're toying with the idea of pulling permits and doing a back parking lot style release party. Fingers crossed.

I hope they do this. I wouldn't mind waiting 45 mins to pick up bottles if I had a pour in my hand.

 

I have every intention of pulling all of the permits I can get my hands on; wish me luck with the city and state!
