Where’s the hype? Avg score 3.81. I got heavy juice up front with a bitter hop sludge at the end. Glad I got to try on tap. Passed on cans.

Based on initial ratings when I posted it. When it goes from 4.5 to 3.5 and I read the comments, then I lean towards a hype on a beer in that case.

We opened up a couple of cans of Aku...pretty sure I wasn't enjoying it. Had a bitter grapefruit taste...like the unenjoyable kind.

Well, they are putting kegs of that neopolitan strong ale on that was part of the previews during WoL (the Cahokias I believe). Since those were “barrel age” previews (i.e. possible future Stasis Project beers), and since they’re pouring it now, it might be a good indication that it’s ready for bottling...

if that's the case they should release Montezuma [bluffs?] (iirc i believe that's the name), somewhat similar to M4 but Much better. I combined that with the blueberry stout they had last weekend, Great combo though do miss the great notions collaboration which i believe may be bottle. Speculation of course.

I doubt the next release is the Neapolitan strong ale. I'm pretty sure I heard them saying at the Bruery anniversary that they expected that to be one of the tap-only stasis beers...

I'm thinking the next release is Beer Geek Observation. That tasted the most finished to me at WOL after Space Trace, and Space Trace just dropped.

I’d say that one and Paisley Cave were the two that tasted ready to go. Would be perfectly happy with either, but with MBCC happening now I could easily see BL doing that collab this month.

Paisley Cave was brewed in December and didn't hit barrels until almost a month later in late December/early January. At the time of WOL it'd only been in barrels for 2-3 months. It still has another 6 to 7 months of rest at this point, I would guess.

Oh wow, didn’t realize it had only been that short of a window when they previewed it. BL should have just released it’s a non BA beer lol.

That Beer Geek observation was insane when we had it during WOL. Can't wait for that beer to drop.

First I'm hearing of any issues. What tasted off about it? Diacetyl, butter, etc?

Lots of cherry flavor to it.

I opened one of my ST b2 Friday afternoon. Delicious. Better than B1 but that could be my crappy memory cells.

Had a B1 at a share about a month ago and I think your memory cells are right.
