While I like that they figured out how to attain that thiccy thicc, I hope they only go with that type of recipe sparingly.

I actually enjoyed Arborescence the most out of all their recent releases.

However, as far as the big three, GP was my fave.

 

Me too. Underrated and not sought after initially. I was able to get 4 bottles. When news got out how good this actually was, it completely disappeared in a day. Bottle Logic really nailed Arborescence; it was delicious. I drank all 4 bottles already. Hope this makes a return visit.

 

It’s not over the top at all. I agree with what everyone else is saying in terms of rankings. This one was really good.

 

Scatter signal was wayyyyy better than I expected and is up there as one of my favorite releases they have done. Anyone know if Jam the Radar hit distro out of orange county yet? Been looking but haven't seen any.

I loved Arborescence. I drank 4 bottles of the last couple of months (more than other other BL bottle in the last year). And I'm not a fan of berry in my stouts but the balance on this one was great.
It was weird though. It was at my local TW and then it would sell out and a few weeks later, it would be stocked again. This happened 3 times. Like they kept finding cases.

 

Hate to be technical, but the label on the barrel says “Pappy 10 Year”. There is no Pappy 10 Year. There is, however, an Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year. This is an ORVW BA beer, not a Pappy. Again, hate to be technical, but when we’re talking about the Pappy name, these things matter. Will be awesome regardless, I’m sure.

 

All good, I appreciate the details. Doesnt detract from it at all for me.....would love to see some more beers that specify the bourbon barrels used come out of BL (without adjuncts please!). I'm all about them barrels!

 

With the future looking brighter, it seems like we may see some normalcy before the end of the year. That raises the question... How that expansion lookin doe?

 

You are wrong. Pappy 10yr is the best Pappy.

 

Pappy 10 Year does not exist. You are thinking of ORVW 10 Year.

Good point, didn't realize they went that far back with that website. However there's got to be a cutoff date, and I wonder if any did not get put on Eventbrite for whatever reason. Anyway, good start, thanks.

 

The early releases won’t be eventbrite. They started off tasting room sales and then I think maybe it was Brown Paper Tickets? Then eventbrite. There used to be a spreadsheet on one of the Facebook groups but is probably gone when the groups started getting shut down.
