Lindsay said in a different IG post that she wasn’t sure whether or not there would be layers this time around. Could be 3 codes, could be 1 code, could be a dozen, who knows...

With the exception of the final Hop Idol Level of the tiered Easter Egg hunts, there have always been multiple bottles for each code. But again, that is the past, and things might get changed up for this one.

I don’t see a resemblance. If you’re simply stating that a beer has been put in a box before, you are spot on. While the hexagonal box adds to Fundamental Theorem’s packaging, the bottle is every bit as sleek and impressive

I attended all 7 days last year, I'll try to help answer your questions and give you some pointers based on my experience:

    • No bottles available for purchase, just draft. I don't think they had crowlers available either but I could be wrong. Bottles of recent stasis releases aren't terribly hard to find within the area. They aren't in every bottle shop but a little social media browsing and I'm sure you could find FO, Leche, and a few others.
    • Arrive early if possible. A Thursday won't be near as bad as the weekend but around 6pm+ it gets pretty busy.
    • Uber/Lyft if possible and if not be prepared to walk a few blocks. Last year they provided a map with parking options. Follow the parking rules or you'll risk getting a fine or toe. I parked on a back road and there was a cop writing tickets to anyone parked in a private lot.
    • Drink responsibly and rideshare or have a DD if you're tasting through the stasis beers. At the FO party this year there was a DUI/License checkpoint half a mile from the tasting room. I wouldn't be surprised to see another this year, the cops in the area know what's up that week.
    • There's always some cool WoL specific merchandise for purchase. Last year they had a Teku, attire, dog things, tote bags, and more. Just a heads up if you want to bring some extra cash or save room in your luggage.
    • Unless you arrive in the early afternoon there will be lines but they move very quickly. Last year it was 2 pours per person and they're generous pours. If you have a friend or two I'd recommend sharing, the pours are larger than tasters and pack a punch.
    • It rained last year and it's been raining lately, bring a rain jacket or umbrella. I'm assuming it'll be in the back lot and BL will throw up a bunch of tents but it's nice to have for the walk and just in case.
    • Usually 3 or so food trucks and Instagram typically tells you what you can expect.
    • They bring in those really nice portable bathroom units so rest easy knowing you won't have to wait in line for a port'o'potty.
    • Doggos in and out of costume everywhere

That should cover some of the major logistic high points. Last years event ran extremely well and the BL team works hard to make it enjoyable and fun, you'll have a blast. If you haven't already follow them on Instagram and you'll get more than enough info prior to your arrival. Goodluck on the F5 race

    Great post.

I will also say though that going later in the evening during the week worked great for me. No lines at all (around 5/6pm) would be waiting to finish your beer before getting in line because the lines were not there. I think I went on a Monday last year.

    I will add:
    • DO NOT BRING ANYONE UNDER 21! ABC prohibits ANY minors for these special permit events, so they cannot come in (even if it’s a 2-mo. old baby). Even if you just need to stop in to pick up your one bottle of FT, they will have to wait outside.
    • No crowler fills or any purchase-for-take-home beers (not including the EB sale beers of course).
    • Everything will be on tap, no bottle pours (although I was reminded they did the low bottle pours of FF when that was release a couple of years back, so they may do the same with FT).
    • There’s a broad range of beers from their Constants (stuff usually on tap in the tap room), to different past stasis beers each day, to one-offs, and previews of upcoming stasis releases.
    • They will post lists of all of the beers that will be available for each day in the coming days. Keep any eye out for that, and for additional information.
    • If you do get a bottle, your photo ID No. (DL, Passport, etc.) has to match the information you put into EB. If it does not, you will not be permitted to take the bottle. The ID cannot be hole punched or partially destroyed either. You will be turned away without recourse.
    • Finally, DON’T BE AN A-HOLE! This should go without saying, but it’s always good to reiterate. Have fun, enjoy some great beers, meet new people, and play nice or don’t play at all.

this is the first time i have paid attention to easter egg codes. I tried ConanTheBarbarian half an hour ago but apparently it was a code :slight_frown:

I guess they are case sensitive codes? Does anyone know if they are all lower case or all upper case or what?

edit: I asked and they said caps dont matter. Must have misspelled conan in my haste (or the code was a pseudonym or something)

Noob Q: but what are all these hero reference to0? Are these people who guessed the easter egg and have been assigned heroes?

I think the codes are like "ConanTheBarbarian", "HermioneGranger", "HanSolo"

but maybe I am completely off track because I feel like I guessed all three of those before they were posted as redeemed on the story. I like the idea of easter egg codes but BL has always kept the details so hush hush that I have never bothered to understand the game at all

The codes were much more specific than the character names per BL on their IG comments.

But it’ll likely end up being 3 codes related to each of their 4 categories of journals they posted earlier this week.

You are correct, it was not simply the character names, that would be WAY to easy. The general theme this time was heroes you needed to “gather” to form a group for questing. There were three different heroes from each of the four WoL quest journal categories (Wizard, Fighter, Cleric, and Scoundrel - 2 men/1 woman each category) that you could try to find the code for the extra FT bottle. This was by far the broadest and therefore hardest code quest to break.

And no, none of this was told to anyone beforehand (or during for that matter that I saw) people just started to figure it out as they posted new heroes that were “added to the group.”

Indeed! Bottle Logic, Green Cheek, Monkish, and Modern Times. I haven't tried the BL IPA but both Monkish and Modern Times were really well done.

It wouldn't surprise me to see a post-Hootenanny Horus/OH collab in the coming months.
