Anyone else not think 20% ABV and go... "pass"? Way too boozy for my tastes or drinking style for that matter.

I like the OH only stuff they put out. Not that any of the collabs are bad. Bring back Green Diamonds.

 

If I felt this way, I'd acquire it just for trade bait.

 

I truly get where you are coming from. This kind of beer is not for everyone.

No, but I can't help but think they took an absolutely amazing beer and turned it into something less than just to be able to say they're "taking it to the next level" or whatever.

 

I think you just came up with a new beer name. Horus need to get on that tart chocolate hazelnut asap

I won the Fundamental Forces lottery and drank my bottle and remember thinking 'huh, not as good as regular FO' and rated it accordingly here on BA.

Should've just held onto it for a few years and traded it for a week in Hawaii or something...

 

Generally anything in that range I'm skeptical on but Bottle Logic consistently executes exceptionally well with anything that touches a barrel. I'm still a little skeptical but I've had waaaay more home runs from BL than misses. That said, this is an easy pickup for me I'm quite excited!

I'd assume any will be during WoL.

 

I'll definitely pickup a bottle, but I never open anything without trying it at BL on tap first. HI was a huge let down for me so it wasn't a hard decision in trading my bottle. I usually don't prefer high abv beers, but it might be good enough to drink unless the values go crazy then I'll just drink from the tap lol..

 

Pretty sure FF was a tap pour during WOL 2017. I had it during that WOL and don't remember getting any bottle pours. It was also drinking really hot at that time.

 

FF was on tap at WoL, but they also poured the low fills during WoL instead of a pre-preview in the taproom (Lindsay reminded me of that recently).

No word as to whether or not it’ll be low fills in the tasting room or during WoL (either is possible). As of Sunday they had not yet bottled it.

 

You are correct. When they poured FF you could do low fills or tap until the low fills ran out.
