I imagine shipping direct to consumer comes with a fair amount of effort. I also imagine that they would be limited in the markets they can ship to, but I'm not going to pretend to know what the laws are.

I guess they do self distro though , so growing that is t simple

I live 4 miles from BL, I don’t trade or sell beer, I drink it. I don’t want it to be opened up for proxies because I love the ease of procuring stasis releases and being able to pick them up locally. Allowing proxies may compromise that.

Me? I want proxies for the thread content.

The whole idea of opening up proxies is based upon increased output from BL. And again, opening up shipping even within CA only, is essentially opening up proxies.

It would be within CA just like every other brewery. I guess I fail to understand why you'd be against shipping and yet support wider distro.

I don’t think he’s against shipping, just proxies.

I'm not too interested in the excluvisity or anything, I'd be down for shipping and/or proxies as long as the amount of beer they are producing fits the model they choose. If they can support those models without the sales becoming a disaster I'd be down with it.

I'd be down for more distribution and not having to pay the $2-3 per bottle Eventbrite fee.

I don't go to bottle shops nearly enough anymore to support that or any of the current suggestions (wider distro, proxies, or shipping). The one obvious surefire way to get more BL beer into the hands of the people who deserve it the most is to a open an annex over here in LA. Somewhere between south bay and DTLA, not that I'm being super picky or anything. :stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue:

They can’t even expand their existing location, lets pump the brakes on opening another location. Who do you think these guys are? Modern Times?

So you'd rather pay the 3-4$ mark-up to your liquor store?

No. But I would rather pay that $1-2 to my local shop.

I vote for one next to LA Ale Works or Common Space. My family would likely never see me.

Access to world class beer is an awesome thing isn’t it?

Somewhat shocked it didn't sell out as I thought this was one of the more popular releases. I was able to max out at 1 pm after forgetting about the sale.

The staff at BA must’ve finally realized it was 2019 and very few people actually express themselves using written word anymore.

BL is selling used steins now, weird. Sure, assuming they're clean but it's a consuming utensil like a plate, spoon etc.
