Stopped by tonight to pick up bottles and the place was wasn’t busy at all (obviously, HI no longer on). Three-hour Tour was legit, as was the Mostra anniversary stout.

Crazy thing was, a couple parties came in and suddenly the place felt packed.

Probably because it was. That place is back to being tiny.

Current capacity for the place is only 78 heads with the back now closed to the public. It gets filled up real quick.

Tried a low fill pour. Honey blossom with slight stout tones in finish. Reminds me of Iridium Flare. Sweetness is balanced and is very mead-like. It's not thicc but not thin. I think if you can imagine yourself liking it based on how the beer is described by BL, you'll enjoy it.

It's well-done for what it is but not my thing.

Just tried a low pour as well. If u DO NOT LOVE honey, this beer should be an easy pass. The nose is great on the 1st smell, then its just overwhelming. It is very singular. Easy pass, even for being a WoL member.

Exactly my same review. First sip and I'm like this is iridium flare with the honey. Good but nothing special to go crazy for, esp being a jwb collab. I like it but I'm not buying bottles. Most likely this beer will end up on shelves after sales end.

Damn...hard to imagine a stout going the direction of Iridium Flare. That thing was like a melted sucker.

Uhh, is it similar in sweetness profile to something like Smog City's Buzzworthy? Cuz that thing wrecks me, even if it is really tasty. MIGHT pass on this, or maybe just pick up the WOL bottle.

I dig Hanamachi. Love the dryness. Lagerithm would be nice but I’ll take this for now.

I really enjoy Hanamachi and it's always my go-to (that and the kolsch) when it's on draft after having every stout taster on the board. I'll definitely be picking up a few 4 packs and hope to see it hit mainstream distribution.

I was hoping this year would be the year of the lager, happy to see BL can a good one.

A BL/JWB collab BA stout as a shelfie. Something surreal about that.
