Did not see this craft shack you speak of, but I’m jealous

I’m drinking Hypermash Hydra. This is the best beer Bottle Logic has done, and is one of the best beers I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t be surprised if BL clinches best in show at FOBAB for the third year in a row with this.

I liked it but tried it side by side against BA Abraxas and abraxas was just better. maybe after some time it will settle down. The one thing I was really impressed with was the thickness usually BL beers are pretty thin glad they are catching up to other breweries.

Does possibly, hopefully indicate that Hydra has less cinnamon punch to it? Because BAA was one overly spiced mother for me, and I love me a good cinnamon beer.

How much does the Coconut shine through?

Not much. I found the barrel to be really aggressive and dominate. The spices shine through mainly because they are so unique and specific you can't miss them on your pallet while the coco and coffee gets loss in the fight if that makes since. I just found abraxas to be more balanced.

I get palates gonna palate, but balanced? That was possibly the biggest punch of cinnamon I've ever had in any beer.

Which BAA we talkin' here...there's a giant ravine between 2019 and earlier vintages. Are we talking sweet cinnamon or bitter?

The bottle I had was 2018 label. Nose was Red Hots, taste was just like super dusty powdery fresh cinnamon. Did a side by side with regular Abraxas and BAA seemed like adjuncted x10.

Yeah, I was going to use the term dusty cinnamon as well - but I didn't know if that would resonate! I'm with ya.

I’m drinking the barrel-aged vanilla barleywine they have on for crowler fills right now (Intrepid Orchid) and HOLY CRAP. It’s like they took FO and Arcane Ritual and made a baby together. Incredible. Strongly recommend picking up a crowler of it.

Did they mention how many kegs they had available? I've been trying to get down their to try it all week, but haven't found the time.

Still think they should start shipping I just grabbed 6 crowlers of Moksa 6th and it only took a few minutes of my time..

No mention of kegs. It’s a Stasis preview, so probably not a whole lot kegged as the lion’s share is probably being saved for when they drop it officially in bottles later this year. But it seems to be flying under the radar since it’s not a stout, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it lasts for a bit.

Got a crowler of it on Monday and based on the reviews I'm incredibly excited to open it at 5 o'clock today!

Will BL hold crowlers that have been paid for for a few days?

Our system is designed for day-of purchases and pick-up only. Orders that are abandoned overnight are refunded and resold.

Crowlers have a three-day shelf-life, we want to make sure your beer is filled on the day you order so you've got the highest quality product for as long as possible.

I couldn't wait and ended up opening it at 4 and man was it worth the wait and every penny. Can't wait to max the bottles on this one once it's officially released. Just swap out the stout for the barleywine with the equivalent FO vanilla. It's fantastic.

Would agree with the 3 days shelf-life. Popped my crowler on Day 4 (figured that an extra day wouldn't be a big deal) and there definitely was some missing carbonation, however, Intrepid Orchid is so tasty it hardly mattered. Might need to go get another crowler for....additional research.
