Bottle Logic Brewing (2020)

I’ve had very little issues with crowlers in my fridge for more than 3 days. Like the old glass growlers I would have some that’s been capped and taped for 2-3+ weeks. Filled to the top should be no issue. Most recently I bought 2 crowlers of Beachwoods/Kerns collab Peakbagger at BWLB. This was a day or 2 after it was tapped. Opened the first crowler 2 days later and there was hardly any carbonation on the pour. The feel was off. I opened the 2nd one (thinking I better open & drink now) and it was perfect. Just like how I had it on tap in LB. So not sure what happened with the first crowler.

 

I had a Study Break crowler from July 2019 two weeks ago and it held up just fine 8 months later.

 

There’s just so many variables with crowlers. I’ve had success with some still drinking great after months in the fridge, but I understand why the breweries will always recommend to drink them fresh.

 

Hate to sound like a broken record. The s’mores BA stout dropped yesterday is incredible. More double mash cuvées please! Looks like it already kicked too, crazy. 2020 might be the best year for BL, coronavirus be damned.

Bourbon Barrel-Aged Pistachio Ice Cream-Inspired Imperial Stout collaboration with Aslin Beer Company

We spared no expense in the creation of this collaboration with the mad scientists at Aslin Beer Company! A new species of lactose stout base underwent advanced bourbon barrel-aging with the addition of Madagascar vanilla beans. We then blended it with the DNA of fresh pistachios and, bingo: Pistachio Ice Cream Stout!

4 bottles per person - Proxies permitted.

 

So basically Byzantine Vision, hopefully without the infection. Got it.

 

Actually no. Unlike BV, this is a lactose stout versus a Porter (entirely different base beer), and no walnuts, hazelnuts, or honey. Also brewed with Aslin Beer Co. So, other than having pistachios, absolutely nothing like BV.

But, hopefully no infections.

 

That’s funny I just drank a BT pistachio vanilla last night.

Not a lactose fan but would be interested in a taster.

Anyone have a chance to try Cryopreservation yet? It sounds pretty good.

 

Opened one of mine last night, thought it was awesome. Smelled like pistachio ice cream when I opened it. Somewhere on the thicker side, not quite HH thick IMO, but thicker than some of their other recent stouts. Tons of vanilla, but the pistachio was always there and the barrel as well. Definitely going to be hunting for these once they hit distro, it was instantly one of my favorite BL releases as I have a soft spot for pistachio ice cream/spumoni.

 

Me too. My wife and kids make fun of me but I’ve always liked pistachio ice cream and pudding.

Cryopreservation seemed to go pretty quick today? I got mine no problem but have friends who were too slow with their CC info and were told it was Unavailable at 12:04.

 

It’s all about the Hypermash ... an absolutely INCREDIBLE beer!!! Bravo Bottle Logic, BRAVO!!!

 

yeah I only got 12 via friends to proxy for me and 2 others struck out...

 

I wish I had the fridge space for 12+! Thankfully my fiancee liked the beer so much she gave me the go-ahead to get the additional 4 in the public sale today.
