Yo, hol up, in all seriousness...

This Not My Gumdrop Buttons is outrageous. Super delicious and even somehow really drinkable for over 14%! And I normally hate gingerbread beers, or even gingerbread cookies in general. This not only mimics the inspiration very well, but makes it infinitely more delicious than I thought possible.

Looks like we will be getting new editions of RFI and SoA sometime soon (according to Untappd).

You may be correct, but I guess we’ll find out sooner or later. I’d imagine the first sale of the year should be up within the next week or two.

Someone previously mentioned SoA b2 would be released (not sure if it was here or on FB). But the Horus IG page early last year posted about a coconut stout collab @ Bottle Logic being put into barrels, but haven't seen that yet, unless it ends up being a Horus release.

I’m hoping for a Nutella inspired hazelnut stout at some point. That would be nice.

These are the kind of BL beers that get very little love and are just so damn good.

Sounds delicious, but if you call something a Strong Ale beer geeks are all standoffish. Maybe if they called if a Pastry Barleywine...

I’m pretty sure too that stylistically there is ZERO difference between what defines a barleywine and what defines a strong ale. So it doesn’t quite make much sense for them to classify one beer as a barleywine and one beer as a strong ale.

I was told strong ales are more closely related stylistically to stouts than to barleywines. But again, don't quote me as I've never brewed a beer (on my own), and don't know the subtle nuances...

I have a Number Crunch 2019 in the fridge. On Untappd there has been a couple reports of infection. Can anyone confirm this? I have not tried it yet but got it several months ago. Looks like I’ll open it this weekend.

Another member mentioned something similar awhile back. Check out blLindsay's post in the older thread - https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/bottle-logic-brewing-2019.601373/page-27.

I had one this weekend and it was perfectly fine. Easily better than the 1 bottle of B1 that i had. I stored mine in a beer fridge kept somewhere around 55F.
The bottle of B1 i had when it first came out didnt seem very different from FO at all to tye point i thought it was the most over rated BL beer. Actually... Now that i write this, why did i get two bottles this year?!
Anyway, this one had a soft, creamy chocolatey sweetness to it that i loved. No sour notes at all on my end!

Glad to hear! Mine has been stored in the fridge all this time. I look forward to it.

Mine wasn't in fridge but room doesn't get above 70 thanks to AC and it being in a box away from sunlight, and it still tasted fine.

My buddy had his at bottom of stairwell but I know for a fact he's a doofus at storing beers, and his tasted a little astringent. But IMO the average person wouldn't have noticed anything wrong if that was their only instance of that batch.
