Bottle Logic Brewing (Q3 2018)

Really? Or is this just par for the course?

This is why beer clubs are exploding. 10 years ago I would be surprised by this. Now, I expect it.

To Bottle Logic's credit, I have been able to get all these beers from them in public sales. Buy directly from the brewery and save yourself the disappointment ( and time )

 

It all depends on the store. I think the one in Lake Forrest had a bottle limit. This one did not for some reason.

I’ve been able to get them all from BL direct too (fortunately/knock on wood), but after you start drinking through your bottles you sometimes want more.

 

Something can be terrible, but also not a surprise.

Absolutely my problem.

 

Anyone know how the lines are for the BBQ popup there today?

 

Someone posted on the trading group on facebook that they waited in line for more than 90 minutes, and that stuff is starting to run out.

Opened Sight and Mind tonight, Very Good barley wine, not as good as Smog's Bourbon OE or ESBC's Old Jetty, IMO, but still a very good barley wine.

Then I open a 2017 Darkstar November and remembered why I love this brewery. Absolutely brilliant beer.

 

I knew the sale would fall on the weekend I’d be out of town. Whats protocol on taking a quick break from bachelor party festivities to F5 eventbrite?

Oh boy, here I go emptying my wallet on Bottle Logic again.

 

Did it sit in barrels the last few months since WOL? that would be amazing.

 

I don't know how they regularly run their pop ups, but I waited about 2 hours. I mainly stayed because I didn't want to waste a drive from Carson to Anaheim and me and my friend hadn't eaten all day and we were curious to see how good it was. That being said, the bbq was pretty mediocre, I wouldn't even wait 30mins if they owned a brick and mortar. Something about the blends of woods used to smoke the meat was on the sweet side, and the sauce they made the previous day using BL ingredients was also overly sweet. In the end we didnt even eat at BL because the back half was closed off and the taproom was filled with Sunday football, so we just shot over to Green Cheek and had ample room at the tables there with a very quiet taproom.

 

2 hours WTF
