Funny how whenever there is a BL collab, people jump straight to hoping it's FO. Not gonna happen. That's wishful thinking. They've already released 4 "fundamentals" this year, and if you're talking next year, I doubt it cuz Modern times has nothing going with MP to contribute to FO to make it special. MP is mediocre at best and modern times has no distinctive treatment it could add to FO.

I just hope they keep the Street Fighter names. A "milkshake" triple IPA called Psycho Crusher would be pretty rad.

I'd also love to see them play on the inventors theme with names inspired from history's inventors. Einsteins Theory of IPAs and Tesla's Alternating Currant....seems like it would perfectly fit!

Would this be a fruit flavored IPA?

Ha yeah sure could be. I was just thinking of examples and it's honestly the first thing to come to mind. I'm sure there are plenty of others who have far better naming ability than I do.

That's just like, your opinion man. The MP Vanilla was killer, and some of their variants are amazing. It doesn't get the hype of BL, but having tried most of what both breweries have put out stout wise, I'd say some of MT's stuff is right up there with BL (MP Cacao/Coco, Spanish Brandy, Nicaraguan Rum BA w/ Cherry and Vanilla, NOLA coffee).

It'd be really cool to see what would come out of a stout collab.

Definitely my opinion. But I am also a league member and have drank enough high quality stouts to know that they are overpriced and overrated.

I heard such great reviews on the BAMP with Vanilla. Got myself a bottle, and was very sad. No vanilla, just tasted like regular BAMP. Sad day.

BL def takes MT in the stout game, but MT sours are amazing where BL is a complete hit and miss. Though, they are def getting better with time. BAMP w/coffee is def up there as one of my favs, but the prices for Jacobs beers are crazy high. I was a league member but found myself passing on everything when every bottle runs at $28-$34. It takes a rich man to be apart of that club.

They are expensive by most standards, but about the same as BL stouts when it comes to $/oz.
I think BL is more consistent in their stouts, but some of MT's are really good too. I find them to be more subtle with the adjuncts which can be a nice change of pace sometimes.

Agreed. I like the quality variations to each base BA stout.

True, but BL winds up being less cash out of my couch because their bottles ARE smaller. Unless I'm drinking with several pals, it's a far better deal for me. Plus, their BA blending is more skillful. And tasty. IMO.

No argument there on the smaller size. I end up hoarding a lot of BA stuff or drinking it over several days, at least BL is reasonable for one sitting (though I usually spread it over 2 days).

Do you just re-cap it and keep it in the fridge? Doesn't go bad over 2-3 days?

At least for the Bruery's case, they have a bottle stop where it would retain some amount of carbonation up to a day later.

Keep laughing then. Once again, opinion. Look it up. But you must be drinking junk regularly to think they aren't average at best.

And yes, overpriced for the quality of that particular beer, not necessarily in the market, even though the price is easy to scoff at by anyone. I (and 99% of BA) would gladly take a $24 16.9oz FO over a $35 22oz vanilla BAMP. That's not an opinion; it's an objective fact.

Wine stoppers suck air (oxygen) out. With beer you would be sucking the carbonation out of the beer and that would... suck.
    You want something like this:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00I...er+stopper&dpPl=1&dpID=41TbKRKsHVL&ref=plSrch
    It keeps air in.
