Bottle Logic Brewing Thread - Fall 2016

I would have tried pulling the trigger if I was still living in SoCal. One thing the Bay Area seems to be lacking in are good barrel aged stouts, at least according to my glancing research.

 

damn wish I would have seen this earlier I will actually be in CA from FL during the pick-up window. Hope I can catch it on draft at least

The INDUSTRY!?

 

DEF not worth the hype. FO is WAY better. Cocoa and coconut on the nose and taste. Alot more heat than 11%. Almond joy/ mounds flavor kinda. Maybe more almond/walnut when its warmed. Ehhh. Gotta a 6oz sample and i left. Haze reaction was also ehhhh.

To be fair, on tap and out of bottle are some different beast.

 

Im def not wreeeeeked from 6oz of space trace and 16oz of haze reaction. Im not a neck beard who sips beer and looks like they should be at a comic con convention instead of a brewery. Im a F'ing man, i take gulps of beer. Oh, and if your a man who wears flip flops with pants, your also a douche bag who shouldnt be drinking beer as well.

No dog in this one (missed sale) but you gotta be skeptical of the numerous FT: space trace ISO: All da whales.

When I first got FO, I knew it was something special and was happy to sit back and only react to trades. Got lucky to sample many pours at the Bruery anniversary party 15 and knew it was worth the trouble at release. Probably why I still have a few B1 left in the fridge, but I'd rather drink something awesome than take a high risk gamble on whatever is popular any given week.

Really hope to try ST but my spidey sense has me leaning away from another big sweet/decadent beer. Just judging on the Bottle Logic name I'm sure it is damn fine.

 

It was comical when you had to correct all the Hyping errors you made in your first post.


Either way, the beers are often a bit different out of the bottle than on draft. But hearing a lot of good things so far that have nothing to do with hrade type.

 

I tried for 3 bottles and only got one. Glad i did. The hype isnt real for most beers. Its just what the nerds crave at the time. Especially when they see a silver colored can with a sticker label.

 

I liked space trace just fine... haze reaction on the other hand was sort of a dud for me

 

Space Trace is right up there with FO in my opinion. I preferred it out of the bottle as well, but tap was great too.
Haze Reaction was a dud for sure, was hoping for a lower ABV HazeShift, but meh.

 

Damn! This one hurt. I wear pants while wearing my Birkenstock sandles and sometimes with socks. I'm old so I don't care what Mr. Blackwell thinks how I dress.

 

Tried Space Trace on draft yesterday. Very coconut forward. I thought it was pretty good but not on the FO level for me, but people have different tastes. Glad I got to try it so that I don't have to trade my first born child and a + for it.

 

The bottle pours were significantly better than draft.
