Bottle Logic Brewing Thread - Spring 2017

I grabbed my 3 and 2 goblets. I can't believe it's still available. Superstition Meadery is world class. This is nuts.

 

How do glasses sell out before the beer?

 

Limited amount and people trading glassware with bottles/proper glassware = quick sale

 

Can't believe IF is still up. Had this at the tasting room on Friday and thought it was amazing. Bought my full allotment planning to keep 2 and trade 1 for another Stasis release sometime down the line. Trade value on this is looking like it's just gonna be $4$. Guess I'm keeping all three bottles for myself!

 

Just increase allotment if this doesn't sell out by today. It's prolly because it's not a stout, doesn't have vanilla, most people don't know what a godamn mead is still and because well , people are prolly too busy waiting for monkish beers to release.

 

Who give a F about trade value? People want good beer, now's your chance to stock up!!

 

First time I've ever been able to score a BL release. Yes, I'm posting just to braggot about it.

yeah, honestly, who gives AF about trade value other than razzle brahs trying to trade ****. The beer is delicious. I'm gad it wasn't a stress getting it.

 

I'm probably in the minority here that I find most Stasis Project beers to be overly sweet -- some cloying to the point of unpalatable -- but I took the bait on this one in the hopes that the inherent BL sweetness could play well in the style of a mead. We'll see if how it plays out next week.

Wow. Lasted til the day after. Never thought I'd see the day. Is this a mead thing or a production has been upped thing?

 

Probably more because it's not an IPA or an aged stout with coffee or vanilla as someone else had mentioned earlier.

 

I feel like someone should make a beer "Bingo" with common place adjuncts/descriptors/keywords as the Bingo tiles.

Also I'd have vanilla listed more than once because I swear there's a group of vanilla chasers that almost rival hazebros.

 

various members of the BL team have said that production moving forward will be a lot higher and they are tying to do everything they can to meet demand, even on FO.

that said, the combination of thing being a mead thing + not a stout (the words strong ale scares people away), both compounded into it lasting until today. which im 100% ok with. if all BL releases moving forward are like this, i will rejoice at the fact that i wont ever miss any and wont ever have to pay/trade and arm and a leg to get beer i want to enjoy.

 

People were also scared of Stronger Than Fiction, and it turned out to be great.

 

I am not sure why people would be afraid. Besides strangematter, there have not been any average beers stasis beers, they have all been great, that I can think of.

 

I'd say Byzantine was definitely a polarizing beer. Even before infection.

 

Lately my feed has been full of guys doing nothing but vanilla bottle shares comparing best to worst. I hope next time I'm invited (which is never) so I can just bring a bottle of vanilla extract from Walmart to see if my bottle wins.

 

Dude just get one of those tall 4 pack togo containers from some fast food place and say it was a new 4sons release or something...

See above post - shouldn't they be selling the beer at a decent markup upon winning a raffle? I'm pretty sure $45 is almost 100%. I'm all for buying BL beers on tap to enter, but $45?
