It almost sounds like you guys have never had a Braggot before...

Man, reaction state sure was tasting like disappointment. Much better the previous time I had it on draft.

This is my first time having Reaction State and I didn't care for it. Maybe it's just breakfast stouts in general. At least I tried it and know now to purchase bottle when it is out.

Iridium Flare was a surprise. my first time having a braggot and thought it was very complex as it hit the tongue, but got use to it toward the end of the pour. Love the skin of the grape flavor, but think berry.

I had no idea what today's beer, Mxyzptlk, was. Did some research and found my new favorite beer!

    Mxyzptlk
    Bottle Logic Brewing

    Rum Barrel Aged Imperial Porter
    ABV: 12.8%
Collaboration with our friends at J. Wakefield Brewing. This Rum Barrel Aged Imperial Porter was brewed with Dulce de Leche and finished with Cinnamon and Cuban Espresso.

I've been trying 1 pour of a Stasis offering every night and try to stay for 1 drink a night at Week of Logic, but tonight would be a night where I'll have two! Mxyzptlk and Byzantine Vision. I missed the b1 release. I've been driving every night, so it's time for my buddy to drive.

    so far i like...

    Stasis
FSummation, DarkStar, Iridium Flare, FF (too boozy, hope it mellows out in the bottle),

    Variants
    Greyhound, Anahiem California

My favs so far in order: Darkstar > FF (boozy but def will be glorious in one year of aging) > Summation > Reaction. Darkstar is such an incredible well balanced beer all around. Was a little disappointed with Reaction. Tasted great don't get me wrong, but I felt the coffee overpowers all other adjuncts.

I've only had Buzz Worthy by Smog. Was pretty good but probably not a great example.

Iridium Flare was is more Mead forward. I loved it. Sweet as expected but not too sweet like some meads. The berry pie flavor was amazing. I'd like to try more but seems hard to find, as well as good mead.

So far my favorite is Fundamental Summation. That shit was insane.

Buzz Worthy is a stout with honey added. It's not a mead at all. A braggot is 50% or less barley, with the majority always mead.
    (I looked this up... I didn't know!)

+1. The entire group I was with got a serious "tussin" flavor from the first taste. I couldn't even finish mine. I'll be passing on that bottle, but everything else I've had this week has been money!

I'm shocked that Fundemental Forces was so well received before it was available in bottles and now its an also ran next to the yet to be bottled Fundamental Summation

Went to pick up some bottles last night, had no idea that week of logic was like a little mini beer festival. I also thought Iridium Flare was amazing, liked it more than Reaction State for sure. Didn't find it cloying at all.

I must be missing something with Fundamental Summation. I wasn't impressed at all but it's getting great reviews. It was solid but I didn't think it was close to the other Stasis projects.

FF I thought was awesome, better than FO. Boozy when you stick your nose in the glass but I thought it was really smooth drinking. Sweet from the dextrose but still a solid vanilla present.

Flare was good I thought, interesting sweetness and I enjoyed it more as I drank it.

The base lambic emergent behavior grew on me a bit, but I wasn't a fan of the raspberry one.

Reaction state I did not try last night- it was too much of a Cinnamon bomb for me the first time I had it. Good but nothing I needed to keep getting.

As much as I wanted to dislike Summation, it was worlds better than FF. FF shows promise but when you increase the characteristics of the base stout, you need to also increase the vanilla presence and I feel as though that wasn't done.

Lines are nice. They create definition, separation between real and hypothetical objects.

Don't like 'em as much as I like craft beer.
