Bottle Logic Brewing Thread - Winter 2016/2017

Lucked out, French Press coffee with DN it is then.

 

I was in a hurry and forgot to change the quantity, so I only got one.

 

I initially told my GF one and then switched to two, I was surprised it went through after a little delay.

 

Missed out on this. Couldn't get any in my cart at 12:00 or 12:06.

Truth is I was on the fence on this one. Still have some Darkstar, not sure I needed a coffee variant. Drinking to many coffee beers lately.

So perhaps its poetic justice that a more deserving person got them

 

Looked at the clock at 11:45 and told myself I had 15 mins. Got preoccupied and looked up to check the time, it was 12:04. Dammit! I've missed quite a few Sunday releases like this. Got Darkstar November though. Got my coffee stout fix with some HPB GJG today so it doesn't hurt so bad.

 

My wife was able to get two, but every time I would refresh it would say the sale hadn't started yet.

 

That has happened to me before. I missed this one, but with so many releases right now my wallet thanks me for it.

 

@bottlelogiclindsay Hey Lindsay. By any miraculous way will there be a beer along the lines of Haze Shift/Flux before the weekend? I remember seeing something on the tank list not too long ago. I wouldn't mind a couple growlers for the weekend

 

I wonder what happened to Fundamental Forces, I remember them saying it was going to be released this year.

 

Hey @adrez86! I'm sorry to say it doesn't look like we'll have it until next week.

Wes (our Brewmaster) and Dylan (our Head Brewer) have been working on propagating our own yeast blend for this style over the last few months. For this round, they've split a 15bbl batch of our base 'Haze Shift' recipe between two tanks and are currently fermenting the two separate 7bbl volumes with this house yeast blend at different temperatures to determine which finished product they prefer. I'm hoping they'll release them side-by-side, for science!

At the T3 Fundamental Observation Blending Session we had talked about hoping it would be finished this year, but I don't think there was a hard date set for 2016. If you see a piece of bad info shoot me a link and I'll correct it!

Fundamental Forces was coming along beautifully in barrel pulls last month, and now Wes and Dylan are toying with the idea of double barreling it.

 

No don't double barrel, it'll make it even harder to get

 

Lord have mercy, the Fundamental Forces was good stuff at the blending event. Double barreling it? I might just die.

 

No I didnt see it anywhere. At the FO dinner I thought I remembered hearing that it would be "out later this year".

Interested about the next release Byzantine Vision! The BA Baltic Porter has been spot on the 2 times I have had it and the nuts and honey on this one hopefully can take it a step further.

Interesting that the page mentions T3 codes. I wonder if they're going to be awesome and extend T3 into the next year, or if some just copied and pasted that text without reviewing it.

 

I seem to recall them saying it would go until the 2017 Week of Logic unless they came up with a membership program before than.
