It seems that between 6:30 - 8:30 are going to be the busiest, if yesterdays crowd holds true through the rest of the week. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves though and I've met some great people so far.

Definitely better out of the bottle. Smells so good. The taste is missing something from the smell. Once it warms you can really taste everything. I like it, I just wish it was a bit more boozy. Very smooth.

Yeah I agree. Almost too smooth. I rarely run into an imperial stout where the best time to drink it is now vs a few months to mellow the heat. Wondering if age will hurt this? Coffee is so strong now, would hate to have it fall off.

I was thinking the same thing. I'll probably go 6 and 12 months on my other 2 bottles, depending on my 6 month review, and BA reviews on here, etc.

Honestly, they should have done this for Ground State. Go around and pass out tickets at a specific time early on, tell folks that they could get their bottle at any time of the day up to some specific time with said ticket and just enjoy themselves. More folks would be getting pours and chilling and that bottle line wouldn't have been so fucked up.

They've done this in the past with a lot of success. Especially with Picture this if you will. I'll take it a step further, with said ticket, they could easily have all three stations (pour in the front, that useless merch station on the inside and the bottle purchase station outside) be able to sell you the bottles and have cases ready there. That way it would spread out where you can buy the bottle. Would alleviate a lot of congestion and expedite the whole process.

They still should spread that back tap handle to more areas. Cause yeah, that backroom area is just not working very well

will there be as much of a demand for this bottle? Since it isn't a stout with coffee and vanilla and whalezbro?

8.9% Brett Saison, wine barrel aged... Doesn't feel like it'll be a trade bait beer.

Good plan. Definitely need to check this again in 6 months to see how it's holding up

Hmmm, I like this way. Alesmith did this for the last viet speedway release that was a low yield. Lined up, got IDs checked, paid, and got tickets for the bottles and could even buy a ticket for tasters / flight of the special releases that day. Got mine, then bailed from the line to grab breakfast since they only sold enough taster tickets that they had available to pour and my bottles were then paid for and not going anywhere so I could return at any time. Lessened the traffic/crowd and made it more comfortable and pleasant of an experience.

Toolbox seems to handle it right these days. The demand for their stuff has dropped a bit, makes it easier for me to keep getting their bottles. All it takes is one bottle to blow them up again.

At least that form of double dipping is less infuriating than seeing someone change clothes or use some other ridiculous disguise and get back in line and hope the brewery somehow notices.

Maybe they should try Eventbrite :grinning:.

Looks like FO shit storm will be inevitable. I know they said they did a higher production, but everyone is not going to want to miss out this time. Though I can't see them going higher than a 4 bottle limit, I hope.

I'm assuming bottle pours...not sales right?

I don't think that term will even begin to encompass what awaits that release. An Eventbrite/BPT with no proxies would be pretty awesome and make sense but BL loves lines and hype.

You gotta admit dude, there sure is a lot of drama surrounding you and these beer releases / events. It's pretty funny.

I knew someone once who got in a lot of car accidents and thought everyone else was a bad driver.

HEY GUYS! Lets talk about beer! Remember that? I heard that the Some Assembly Required on draft isn't the same batch as in the bottles. Can anyone confirm that?
