I am averaging a 10min mile walking...give or take if I need to run across streets to catch a pedestrian walk light or if I have to wait (likely) near the freeway lights. Decade+ cross-country runner so normal walking pace is roughly 9.5 -10min miles, unless I have been drinking then you know...whenever I get there becomes the time it takes.

Nice. Schlubby old me took 35 minutes to walk 2ish miles from my work hotel to Alesmith the other night. Little bit longer carrying 6 bottles and a grumbler back to the hotel.

Wait...there are hotels around here? Near Miramar? I mean I know of a couple places where a man can relax but they have those purple neon lights surrounding their windows...I wouldn't call them clean either.

It holds a special place in my heart as I grew up in the OC and used to go there religiously. I do still think their tacos are great. Haven't been to the places you mentioned but now I'm curious

Really a warm day today in the back room. So much easier to get beers today though.
Jam the Radar is a very good beer.Recommend.
Space Race, is a recommended as well.
Again not a very good stout day ,but don't let that stop you. Just drink some POG juice to cool down.

Yeah, I used to go to the one in Santa Ana all the time and the tacos and burritos are fantastic, regardless of the meat you pick.

I looked at their Yelp page and have to admit that looks pretty fucking good.

Fullerton 'ria was my go to. I miss when they used to give out calendars at new years featuring pictures of cows or Mexican woman making tortillas. My friends and I actually got mugged there one night (like at 3 am) but still continued to go there because it's so good. They used to serve cow brain tacos back in the day too (taste great after a long night of drinking). De Anda will always be king

this is off topic though. i'll go back to reading about people's passports

Stopped by today and only wait 12 minutes in line to try Space and Jam. It's a light day compared to the release days. The Space Trace was excellent. No complaints..... Had a good time and met some good people. Thanks BL

Shit has been out of hand for nearly 2 years.

I honestly don't mind it because I try to stay away from the "hype" beers that I normally get to try at shares anyway. I just wish there were more fair traders as opposed to people who try and overvalue their own stuff and undervalue yours.

Article is spot on with their mention of Cycle Brewing ... another great example of an antiquated brewery who refuses to sell special releases online, thus creating a shit show. Cycle is actually worse (or maybe better) than Bottle Logic as many times they announce the sale that morning. I swear, it seems many of these breweries get off on their shit show lines ... like it somehow validates them as successful breweries. Personally I realized after Parabajava that my time / life is worth more and better spent doing other things for 3 hours ... but that's my personal choice & thus I'll only be sticking to online releases. No FOMO here
