    LA tacos> OC tacos.

Last year on Wednesday (I think) they debuted fundamental observation. This year they debuted jam the radar...mark my words, this is the next big release from these guys. Imperial stout she'd in Buffalo Trace barrels worth cacao and raspberries. So freaking amazing.

Jam the radar was pretty good. Nice taste of raspberries. Liked it better than space trace.

Had El farolito at the other location (DTF) for the first time a few weeks ago, pretty good priced food.

Went out with family tonight...there was 7 of us and the bill was barely $60. Such a good deal and so much food!

Might be a dumb question, but what is the best way to track what is on for fills this week? Will stop by Fridayafternoon, but have to drive and hoping to leave with a couple fills of something tasty. Any chance the SAR bottles last to Friday? Would love to score a bottle on my visit to CA, and would happily bring out some NYC/NE goodness for a bottle if they're gone if anyone is interested.

On a scale of 1-5, 1 being a little funny and 5 being super funny, where would you rank how funny it was?

Agreed. I though Space trace was lacking or at least a little too lite on the coconut. Which one of the brewers/owners mentioned that it was good to have a dry run of it before bottling so they could bump up that coconut for the future brewing.

That Jam the Radar was awesome.

+1 for Jam the Radar. I haven't had huge expectations especially keeping in mind the order I got my pours in today (GS -> Space Trace -> Jam), but was definitely very positively surprised, especially during times when breweries add cherries and other sweet/sour fruit for different reasons. It was the first stout with sweet fruit since one of the Westbrook anniversary beers that actually did the job. Fruit blended perfectly and added nice sweetness, maybe too much, maybe not, but the beer definitely stood out. I'm definitely with @JoshBeerNow on this one. Can't wait for the bottles! I'm hoping that Space Trace will be a bit better from the bottle too. It was good, but I feel there's more potential in the base beer. Overall, another great day at BL in terms of beer selection / quality.

I agree with you on the fruited stouts. The only other one I've had recently was Regal Rye, and it was much better than that.

The first beer that made me take notice of this foolishness was King Henry.

Sadly I was a dozen or so people behind the last pour of space trace, however i want to echo the love for Jam the Radar. Really tasty! One of the best fruited stouts ive had. Hope it makes it to bottles!

On IG , BL says there be a bottle release of space trace later this year.
Not sure if it's before or after FO. (earlier this week they said there would be another bottle release before FO)

Does Jam the Radar taste anything like Lindley Park? ( sounds like it might)
Hoping to get there before they run out of Jam the Radar

Having gone to multiple releases at Cycle this year, I can say it was VERY well done. they announced the night before. People line up. Doug comes out, makes a count of people in line adjusts the bottle count, and they start selling. Cash only. If you're in the back of the line, you have bottles in hand within 30 minutes, beer is gone, everyone is happy.

    Very well done!
