I think Hpb used evenbrite, that worked very well with my mobilde device.

Was successfully able to add a bottle to my cart two separate times only to be told they weren't accepting anymore transactions at this time. Had my timer set to the exact second too. Also, I refreshed and tried to purchase for the full 10 minute time period I was given.

    Unreal..

You guys might want to try giving Cismontane a call and discuss how they sold bottles of Black's Nocturne on their website a couple of weeks back. You guys are both small breweries and their transactions for that sale seemed to go smoothly. Granted there might not have been as much of a "rush" for that beer, but maybe they can give you some additional ideas/solutions of things they've tried. You might also be able to integrate a shopping cart feature on your site, but don't quote me since I don't know ABC sale laws.

Is there a reason why you have to have paypal involved? That's just another variable that can lead to malfunctions. Reduce the variables.

Yes, BPT told us on Thursday that they would no longer be handling payment processing for any event not involving admission to an event. Our choices were between Paypal and Amazon, but Amazon would take 10 days to set up. So it was either involve Paypal or cancel the online sale altogether.

Thanks for the suggestion Wolf, I contacted Cismontane.

    No problem.

I hope you guys can find a viable online solution by the time you release Darkstar. Love that beer!

Weird. Saw these past few posts so jumped on BPT and was initially able to select 2 but then it changed to 1. Was able to check out and complete purchase. Tried to go back in and it once again says sold out.

This whole experience has been just as hard as getting floor tickets to a Phish show.. That being said, cant wait to try it!

I'll chalk it up to a beer error in my favor. It has been a good week (bringing home 15 bottles from deGarde)

I got 2 bottles pretty easily. The key was switching from PayPal to 'pay with a credit card' and ignoring their attempts to get you to login to PayPal.

"Know that we're going to be moving away from BPT and are looking into the smoother methods of @moderntimesbeer and @thebruery's online releases. "

This part seemed weird to me. Since MT uses BPT and Bruery has their own online storefront.

That was me yesterday. Went from 11:59 F5'ing like mad to server busy hanging for a second to sold out.

I managed to squeeze two in today. Thankfully. But come on, this can be done a whole lot better. Alesmith tackles this all the time for beers that are bigger in name.

If the road block with using BPT is (Well, among many other excuses tossed out) the fact that you can't use a CC unless it's an event, then the answer has been their the whole time. Modern Times calls the release/pick up day of their Monster Parks and any other bottle sold on BPT an event. Problem solved. You still have a window to pick it up, but it's called an event day.

Really, would Nikola Tesla give up when those small bumps stood in the way of progress?

I used a credit card today for my purchase (after failing with PayPal the first time).

through Paypal. Which just seems like they're asking for even more delay as it's going through yet another transaction. I mean, using your own CC probably charges you something in itself, but then paypal is not too kind when it comes to service charges either.

Haha, I really needed that after a stressful weekend. Thanks for the laugh.

Seriously, we are going to be looking into all sorts of different methods. Maybe the answer is a different system, maybe we just need to make an "event" on BPT, I'm not sure. We have a bunch of people looking into it now with the ultimate goal of making you guys happy.

    Thanks everyone.
