Damn, just read all this info. $140 + the price of bottles is a lot for a beer. Going to have to think about this one.

Well hell, if we also back out the price of the food...we get $0, which is even better!

The price is about $148 per person (with fees). It's not an a la cartel menu/pairing, so trying to break apart the meal or justify the expense doesn't make it any less expensive. A $148 hit to your wallet is a $148 hit.

Not the point of my post ... people were saying it's VERY EXPENSIVE ... I too thought it was VERY EXPENSIVE until someone pointed out the tax and gratuity thing ... so at $100, it's not bad at all or too expensive for the meal they are serving. (IMHO)

I'm not a RS/HS or MT league member, so I'm willing to pay up.

It's good to know most are going to pass due to the price. I might actually have a chance to get it!

With tax at around what 10% ish that means your tip is $30. That's pretty generous. I'm thinking its probably closer to $110-115 before tax and tip.

I was going off of this unless something changed. I didn't end up with any. Since it doesn't timestamp quotes, that was from 6/24/15.

yeah, i was saying $22.50 all in, so $19.50 sounds about right.

So what are you guys thinking? You ok with $140 + ~$250+ for bottles or contemplating passing?

Due to my locale I am passing. Also I feel the pricepoint is a bit too high for me and I personally didn't really enjoy b1 FO anyways. So really my only reason for attending would be to get a case and resell at that inflated secondary markup, which I would bet a good chunk of ppl are going to do anyways that secure tickets. Sure there will be those that send the bottles at cost to good trading partners or friends but that group is getting smaller by the day.

Oh and I already have a beer pairing dinner I am attending this month. I think 1 per month is good enough for me.

I believe all that is known so far is 6/26 Online Sale 3pp or +1 for T3 members. Pickup window is 7/3-7/9.

Yeah, this would be the one thing that would motivate me to resell some bottles, just to recoup some of the $300 for myself and my SO. $300 for a couple is in no way a "deal" even if lobster is involved lol.

Sooooo...about that Michelin star comparison thing...

$140 for a 6 course meal WITH beer pairing? That seemed about right to me. But then I looked at Lazy Bear in SF. $145 (cheapest ticket) for 14 courses. Add $85 if you want the beverage pairing.

$110 (+tax & gratuity) for a 6-course dinner AND beer pairing is a very fair deal ... maybe not a bargain / steal, but very fair ... Beats the shit out of some $30 double barrel rye beer
