I can say that someone I'm friends with had a friend come (from a different state no less) and he said he was denied his allotment because of his involvement with a secondary market.

He was at the dinner, and he didn't leave with any bottles, for what it's worth.

The dinner itself was awesome, the portions may have looked small, but at the end of the night everyone was satisfied. The highlight of the night for me was beef cheek. It was so tender it pretty much melted in your mouth. Had a lot of fun with the guys (and girl!) at the table as well. I will definitely try to make it to their next event.

I see, from what I heard about the story (an obvious rumor now) this guy was hammered, supposedly was a known seller of beer, flew in from out of state for the dinner, and was allowed to eat [and drink I presume], but not purchase a to go allotment

I feel like such a high schooler talking up internet rumors, but like I said previously, if this is true, my already strong feeling of respect of Bottle Logic Brewing just skyrocketed!

Damn thats got to sting not being allowed to buy any bottles at the dinner after dropping $140 and expenses to come from out of state lol.

Sorry, don't mean to hijack the conversation, just a quick question regarding pickups. My wife is having a yard sale on the 2nd...I hate yard sales. So I was just going use the time to go out and pick up my FO bottles, Bruery bottles, and my bottles from HPB. If I show up right as BL opens, just for pick up, would I possibly be stuck in line for over an hour?

    Trying to plan my route.

I'm doing the same route as you , but on sunday! BL, the bruery & HPB. haha.

Since it's 3 weekends for p/u, maybe it won't be terrible . But I would expect at least an hour just to get bottles.

I'm sure there's going to be a line for over an hour wait? I don't know about that. If it's just picking up bottles it should go by pretty quickly.

Beer it forward helped me raise money for my cousin who is battling cancer. Such an amazing group of people over there.

Apparently there was a third variant of FO at the dinner in addition to the coffee and forces. One loaded with even more vanilla.

Everyone else, please no more talk to trade values here, there have been a few reports that this thread has turned into an argument over beer values. Please check the completed trades forum to find out what people have traded for-

    Going back to beer talk:

What were others opinions of FO Coffee and BA Cobaltic?

I thought FO Coffee was good, but the OG FO was definitely better. Coffee smelled like a literal cup of coffee, however I didn't get much coffee taste until after I started eating the dessert. I actually think I liked Redeye November (back IN November) better than FO Coffee.

The BA Cobaltic was also really good. Head and shoulders above the non-BA version and a completely different flavor/taste profile than non-BA.

Also curious to see what they're going to do with FF, since it's at 16ish % right now. Maybe make it their answer to Bruery's BT?

FO w/ Mostra smelled so good - really one of the best smelling beers I've experienced but OG Fundamental still overtook it with all that vanilla flavor. Drinking the CP and the BA CP back to back was pretty cool and it's hard to say which I thought was better. I also really liked the Berlinner Weisse they served.

Sounded like they want FF to be a Black Tuesday competitor as they kept stating they want the ABV to continue to rise. I thought it tasted great and pretty similar to FO, but obviously there's some heat right now. Everything they had was awesome though!

It was hot as balls last night ... just wondering how the temperature was for the dinner since it looks like it took place out in the non-AC production area? I do admit, I stay away from places like Noble and Valiant when it's hot as fuck and just head over to a nice and cool Bruery or BL  #firstworldproblems

Yeah, the only downside of the entire night was the temperature in the production area. They had large fans to help keep air flowing but it was pretty damn hot haha.

AC was on in the tasting room, but it was fairly warm in the first dinner seating. Fortunately I was by the one(!) big fan they had going and had a little breeze to kinda keep me cool... Until they turned the fan and I started sweating. Although at that point the booze was starting to kick in and I didn't notice it as badly.

As someone who isn't a light beer drinker, I actually really liked the Berliner AND the Set to Stun as well.

One of the big east coast guys, (I think it was Hill Farmstead) did the same a few months back. They had a list of names of people selling the beer.
