I think cause coconut might maintain the hype for it but we shall see lol

 

I feel like this will fall somewhere between FO and Leche in terms of how quick it will go..who knows though

 

I'm looking forward to Stronger Than Fiction. I just need to remember to log on at noon on Sunday. I completely forgot about Leche Borracho when it came out. Luckily it lasted a while.

 

Fickle? I never liked tequila barrel in a stout, before or after Leche. It was probably the best beer aged in tequila barrel, but that doesn't change the fact that I would prefer it coming from just bourbon barrels.

 

I'm hoping it'll be on tap, I still find it weird to buy beers untasted. I mean, I trust Bottle Logic and I'll buy bottles like the mark I am, but it'd be nice to see it on tap.

 

Go over there at 3:00pm today, they are pouring Stronger Than Fiction "from 4 cases of low-filled bottles"

 

Looks like StF is available for bottle pours right now. Go go go whoever is close and please report back!

How is it tasting, you likes? Bueno or No Bueno?

 

i was able to get over there and try it...

caramel/coconut sweetness on the nose. smells like a macaroon or a samao. as you drink it, you get a ton of the bourbon which isnt too hot, but the coffee dominates - gives the beer a bit of a bitterness. the coconut blends well, so its not like its a coconut bomb or anything. i wanted a bit of thicker mouthfeel, but its very smooth for the ABV.

the bottles say "drink fresh" so im sure the coconut and the coffee will fall off at some point.

IDK, but it's already sold out, so it couldn't have been huge.

 

That sold out way faster than i thought it would.

 

Decided to just pick up two bottles. One more "now" and save the other for later on. Didn't get a chance to try it when they were doing bottle pours but crossing my fingers I chose wisely come the 20th when it's on tap.

 

Didn't get any logged in and tried to check out and said sold out. That was fast
