They did BPT for this one last year (I have no clue why they stopped doing them), I only remember because I tried to buy it and it was sold out by the time I looked an hour or so later. I think that was darkstar or one of the other stout releases.

Maybe they did both BPT and standing in line, so maybe you are correct, but I thought that was a different release

 

I know they did this one via line because the dude who hired the mules, I was standing near his sister and her uninterested in beer boyfriend, who were talking about why he hired so many home depot people for this beer cause he wanted to have a halloween party with pumpkin barrel aged beer.

 

that's a least more respectable than trading for Heady or re-selling on the black market

 

There was some confusion last year between BL and BPT. Since they were only accepting PayPal payments instead of CC's, they needed to "up" the number of PayPal transactions they were allowed to process, but didn't. People kept being able to put bottles in their carts, but not buy them as BL had reached their PayPal "limit." I had to call BL and tell them what to do so people could buy bottles online again.

They still had bottles for sale online and in person the following day as there apparently wasn't much demand. (Or people were pissed because of the BPT debacle.)

Got it. These recent BL releases have sold out so fast. I remember leche lasting multiple days which, in my opinion, is definitely a better beer than PIYW and STF

Hype is the only reason I bought my full allotment + T3 as I usually hate Pumpkin beers and I avoided this last year, but IMO they haven't had a bad BA stout yet so might as well give it a try.

 

Man I always thought the demand for pumpkin beer was pretty low. I thought about purchasing for trading purposes but figured I probaby wouldnt get anything worth the trouble in return. I guess I was/am wrong.

 

They have a note on the Eventbrite page about a bottle release for next month.
