Of all the poor decisions, and lack of employee presence today, the one thing that blew my mind the most was the decision to sell bottle logic and week of logic merch OUT OF THE BOTTLE DISTRIBUTION LINE. Literally, people deciding which size shirts to buy, wanting to look at the Teku glasses before they bought them, etc. was going on at the only TWO tellers they had set up to serve the entire bottle line.

 

I'm white and I don't trust myself. Got that covered already. Thanks for the tip.

 

This is an annoying but well known sales tactic perhaps pioneered in the *beer world by Russian River. If you're going to wait in line, and have the opportunity to buy more at the end of that line, chances are you will.
Wait for 5 hours for some Beatification and you can also mull over how many Pliny's, Pigs, and Supplications you want when you get to the front instead of while you're in line? Sign 100s of people up!
Make it merchandise where people need to feel each glass and try on two sizes each of three shirt types, and it's worthy of Dante.

But handling tanks is one of my favorite past times. Why you gotta piss in my cheerios like that?

 

Honestly should just do a cash only bottle sale out the side would be ideal but seems like it won't ever happen. Took about a little over 2 hrs to get bottles, got in about 1235ish. Should of just showed up at 3. Met a guy in line who was getting paid to wait and buy bottles.

 

Comedy is really lost on people these days... Lighten up...

 

no, I'm talking about an even simpler concept. Alesmith, HPB are on the high end spectrum which is why they use BPT and Eventbrite.

this would make it so that even Bottle Line .. I mean Bottle Logic can use it.

They can even have "regulars" volunteer to run it!!

Got there at 10:30am mainly because my buddy had his son & we wanted to get some inside so we were cool with waiting early for bottles. Around 11:45am people realized there weren't nearly 1600 in line so they started lining up for the pour with the plan to get in line after. I jumped in line shortly after 12pm knowing I would get a pour before bottle time & I was right. About an hour to get a pour then back in line with my buddy for almost another hour to get bottles. At 10:30 I was at the 2nd BL driveway so it took ~2hrs to get from there to buy bottles. Definitely having merch outside at the bottle sale slowed things down & probably unnecessary since merch was also inside

I thought that Ground State was good but not mind blowing & I gave it a 4.00 on Untappd. Afetr I got back in line for bottles the guys behind me were reading all Untappd scores/comments & they were mad that no one was giving it a 5. I pointed out my review after they read it aloud & one guy said dude you gotta change that to a 5 man, we need that trade hype

 

Well the same sort of stuff was said at the FO release and look how that ended up

 

Honestly the beer was great and as it warmed up even better but I don't understand why people expect it to be FO good or compare it at all , apples and oranges, this is a great stout that paired perfect with a fudge brownie from the food truck at the Bottle logic event haha but let the beer speak for itself

 

I hit the late Barrel Odyssey session, left around 5:45 and went to Bottle Logic. Waited in a 15 minute line and got bottles along with my dad. It looked like a zoo inside so we didn't even bother drink to buy a beer.

 

When we told them about the line cutters they just winked and smiled

 

lol at IG posts showing more than 3+ bottles, I guess I'm one of the few who didn't have their GF buy an additional 3.

 

My fiancée is drinking with them me. So fuck that.

 

I got there around 7pm. 5 minute wait for the bottles, I got my 3 and left. Heard the line inside was still45min plus. Maybe I'll swing by tomorrow since I have the day off, maybe it won't be as crowded? Opinions on that?

Those guys sound like the worst.
