I'm visiting the Chicago suburbs and would like to bring back a nice 750 ml bottle or 22 oz bomber back home for a bottle share. Any recommendations from a Chicago brewery that would fit the bill? Something I can find this weekend at a Binny's (the one in Schaumburg, most likely)?

I suggest buying anything that you find from 3 Floyds.

Second Pipeworks, not sure of Binnies Schaumburg PW selection but the Des Plaines Binnies and close to there Foremost Arlington Heights always have a good PW selection.

Schaumburg binnys will have a good assortment of pipeworks, but any beer that is sought over at all disappears in a heartbeat there. Cardinals in palatine probably has a better pipe works selection on the shelf, at least they did last time I looked. And you can always ask of anything is in the back.

Anything 3 Floyds or Pipeworks. They may have Bean Gene from Revolution at Binny's if you ask them (a bit pricey though). Solemn Oath just bottled Combat Marshmallow and I've heard good things if you can find that. Definitely tell them you're from out of town and ask if they have anything interesting in the back. Good luck!

    Thanks all.

Got a couple of bottles of Pipeworks Citra - one to share, one not to share.

Also picked up some bottles I can't get back home - Maine Beer Co., Smuttynose, Sixpoint.

Solemn Oath just started bottling their beer 2 weeks ago. Pipeworks, Spitefull, Revolution, Three Floyds. Revolution released their barrel aged coffee version of their Eugene porter called Bean Gene. They also have a noncoffee version called Mean Gene. Should not be to hard to find.

If you happen to be in Chicago, make a visit to Beer Temple. Their selections are unbelievable and the workers know what they are talking about. Their pipeworks selection is the best I have ever seen.

Find a few to bring back. Here's a few suggestions for who to look for in order from the big boys down to some of the upstart small fries: Revolution, Half Acre, Pipeworks, Spiteful, Begyle, Local Option. If you happen to actually be able to find a bomber of 18th Street Chloe still. NAB IT.. If you can muster a sixer in your kit. Find something by Off Color too.
