True. And one day the lady in question says "holy crap, you have had Fou! I love that beer!" and then I am done for :stuck_out_tongue:

I did save some of the beers I especially liked, but everytime I moved, I recycled them. So I no longer do. Bottle caps on the other hand......

They do. My wife hated beer at first. Everything she tried - "It just tastes like beer." She doesn't drink too often, but now she likes most styles other than IPA. So she likes beer but won't drink my stuff when I'm not around. Keeper.

Me and my boyfriend are into Fallout so we started saving our beer bottle caps (bottle caps are the currency in Fallout). Takes up a lot less space and they sometimes have fun slogans or pictures you don't see on the labels. I'd like to start saving labels with cool art too and make something out of them...either magnets or a collage. I started getting stickers from some of my favorite breweries and plan on turning them into fridge magnets, too.

The only bottles I save are those from Country Boy, as you can never tell if/when anything they bottle will be released again. Otherwise, no, I'll toss 'em.

If you aren't going to keep them, throw them on eBay. Rare bottles can actually fetch a decent price.

One gets rid of the bottles, the glassware, the openers, and the corkscrews over time, by advisement. It's like having a counselor in the house, one who knows best. Some folks collect more than others and require special prompting to declutter as time moves along. I don't miss things, but I do cherish some memories. I truly have learned that my wife knows my old crap better than I do. It works out just fine!

I save one of each different 3 Floyds bomber because they are local and I like the artwork. They are in the garage and will go on a wall this summer.

I used to do this at my band space but they end up taking up too much room. As others have suggested, either keep the labels or the caps. Much less space required.

Don't collect them unless you can do it to a level of being impressive, and especially don't do it in the living room. (Store them until you can do it right.) Keep the wife happy and display them in a man cave only. Here's what can happen if you go overboard -- 1,200+ of them, but I display them in my man cave in the basement.

I save one of each 3 floyds and Jackie O's bottles because I think they look cool. Also some bottles that are rare to me. Most of my other empties I recycle.

NO. Ditch the labels and save the caps. That takes even less space! Eventually, the caps will go...to the garage at least.

Not seen: all of his caps!!! Side note: This is inspirational! I'm almost finished with my beer bottle/can/cork/light/tacker/opener/poster/c.d.opener(?!)/glass/tap/mirror/etc. wall. That - plus a bar - and l'm done.

I wonder how someone can sell an empty bottle on eBay and create the impression that it genuinely is empty. You might find yourself dealing with some angry buyers.

I don't dust them... I want the cellared look. :stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue: (Actually they have not collected very much dust down there in the basement in the 10-15 years since I started making those shelves and filling them with the bottles.)
