Caps and Corks in the NW (lovejoy and 17th) has asked about doing a bottle share once a month from 4-6pm. Nice place, just around the corner from me:slight_smile:

    Is anyone interested?

I will definitely be at Brews for New Avenues on the 13th, but if a few people want to also do the bottle share on the 14th I can make the 4 block trek.

    cheers
    Don

Depending on transport, I'm in the SE. I will attempt to make it.

I'd be up for this... if we didn't already have plans to be at the coast (long overdue trip) next Sunday. Really liked Caps & Corks the few times I've been there. If this bottle share does happen, post the details... and let us know about any future ones...
    Cheers,
    Brian

It was as if a million voices cried out and were suddenly silenced....

Dang, I was hoping to get the chance to meet you, I was looking through your wants to see if I could help out. Sadly, I just traded the only want of yours that I had. My gf and I just did this trip back in June, you are up for some amazing views! Have a good time! You going to hit Pelican?

I'd be interested, but I don't think I'll be up for another day of hard-core drinking after Brews for New Avenues. Maybe next time.

First off, nice Star Wars reference - although us not meeting at a bottle share hardly equals the destruction of Alderaan... too soon, man...
    There's always a 'next time'.

Our weekend trip to the coast is more of a day visit (Manzanita/Cannon Beach)... Only potential 'beer stop' will be Bill's or Warren House Pub in CB (our friends who we'll visit own the bakery, Waves of Grain, across from Warren House...). But Pelican is always a great stop (tho now we *really* like Twist in PC as an alternative)

We missed out on Twist while I was there, the gf wanted to have her romantic birthday beers at Pelican. No complaints here!

As far as Cannon Beach, I would recommend Bill's as their Blackberry beer was delightful. Additionally, Hug Beach is a great 20 min walk that should be right on the way or in between your destinations, the beach was empty save for running into Robert from the homebrew supply store in Bellingham. That was a happy coincidence! Nothing like a "private" public beach while you are trying to relax. I hope that your trip is enjoyable and the weather holds for you, until next time, cheers!

Try the new BBQ joint right around the corner from Twist the next time you're down. Six or eight decent taps and good BBQ. Not vegetarian friendly though!

If god didn't want me to eat animals, why did he make them out of food?

I will also be at Brews for New Avenues tomorrow, so see you there:slight_smile:

Just curious, are they waiving the corkage fee?

$1, which I think is more than fair for allowing us to use the place and they will donate a beer as well.

    Cheers:slight_smile:

The gf and I are planning on making it out. Anyone have a bottle of Black Butte 22? I was thinking of bringing 21, 23, & 24. Would be fun to fill the gap.

Haha awesome, great minds indeed. If you are set on that I can bring something else. No problems finding something in the cellar that will be adequate.

Well change of plans, the gf isn't feeling too well so I may be in my own. Probably will save the vertical for when she is better.

Bottle share went well, nice seeing those who came out! Thanks a lot for the bottles and tipping our friendly bar tender.

Highlights for me were the Sole Comp (oak something) .. it was single cask six and CCB Leon.

We will do it again next month.

    cheers
    Don
