Hey is there a forum or email list for upcoming bottle shares? I've recently moved to Queens in Sunnyside area. Just looking for people to share with.

Just looking for anywhere nearby. Greenpoint, LIC/Astoria. If anyone knows any shares looking for new members, I'd be interested.

    Thanks,
    Mike

I live in LB but am willing to travel via train if we can organize one near easy to get to stops.

6 of us already replied..which is fine by me..have done shares in the past and usually max is around 8 or 10..so I'm cool with that.

There is a bar in Bayside (right off the LIRR, not a craft beer bar) stop that has an upstairs room. Maybe we could try and rent out the upstairs room on a night they're not booked on short notice at a nice discount. Tell them we will bring our own beer and we will pay for the food. What does everyone think of that?

that sounds good to me, my wife is big into craft beer, takes part and brings her share.

sounds interesting as well. I imagine if we were buying food it would be pretty affordable.

We do our fantasy football draft there every year and I think its about $35 for food and open bar per person. I think we probably could get a similar deal maybe even cheaper since we will be bringing our own beer.

Why rent a place..plenty of BYOB places to go to? With zero or minimal corkage/bottle fee..

But if everyone is ok with renting place in Bayside then I'm cool with it .

A BYOB spot sounds great, as long as they're not rushing us out and there are enough tables around. Would there would be enough space at Queens Comfort?

I've only ever been for weekend brunch, so can't say much to the weekday evening crowd, but I feel it's a little too tight space-wise.

There's a monthly bottle share that takes place at a bar in Manhattan, if people are amenable to that. I've only recently started going, but pretty low key and fun.

Queens comfort has way more space for dinner service than during the Brunch rush. I've gone there with big groups a few times at night and it hasn't been an issue to get a table.

    And welcome to Sunnyside!
