This afternoon I called a local liquor store to see if there was somewhere local I could but Styrofoam shippers. Long story short they agreed to sell me 4 twelve bottle shippers for 9 dollars each.

Half the price of the online places and I.dont have to pay for shipping or wait for them.to be shipped to me.

As an aside, if you but the 12 bottle ones you can cut them down for different bottle number packages and save more money like that

My advice is to check out a local wine store that does shipping or wine clubs. I have found that wine club members frequently give the boxes back, and the store gives those out for free. If you purchase some of their shipping boxes, it shouldn't be more than $8/12-bottle shipper.

the wine/liquor place obviously gets their shippers from Uline as well, because the 4 they sold me came 4 shippers per big Uline box.

The shippers themselves come in their own shipping box as well.

All for only 9 dollars per shipper and box. Good bye bubble wrap, lol

Just roll up each bottle in a sheet of bubble wrap (I use this), and the styro-squeaking pretty much disappears.

I get a ton more sloshing when using styro shippers than when bubble wrapping, anyone have a clue why, or what I can do about it? My "candles" don't sound so much like candles when they slosh around.

Try adding something to the box that rattles. I have seen tic-tacs, rice, etc. I use plastic easter eggs, throw a couple pennies inside, and then find a spot for it in the box. Usually the rattle is louder than the slosh

spiritedshipper is my favorite. You have to pay shipping but each shipper is still less expensive than uline even with shipping factored in. They break down which is great for apartment living and they're all cardboard so there's no issues with squeaky stryo

@averagjoe3 Try stores that ship wine. Ask at Amity next time you're in there... I bought a 6 bottle styro from them a while back, but I think they've switched to cardboard shippers that lay flat (or something that isn't stryo... not sure since I didn't buy it).
