I will be in Baltimore next week for business. I will be staying and working at the Inner Harbor. This will be my first trip to the area. I would love to find a bottle shop that I could pick up some beer we cannot get in Missouri. Any chance there is anything close to that area? I may have access to a vehicle, but uncertain.

    Thanks in advance.

Without access to a vehicle, your best bet is probably Urban Cellars on Charles Street. If you have access to a vehicle, you want to head to the Wine Source in Hampden or Bo Brooks Lighthouse Liquors in Canton. Max's in Fells Point is the best beer bar in the area, and they sell bottles to go, but with your standard bar markup. You can take the water taxi to Fells Point from the Inner Harbor.

This. I lived in Baltimore and this was my shop. If I were going there tomorrow I would stop here first after checking out Max's, then maybe swing down to Canton Crossing Wine & Liquor if you grabbed an uber or rental car.

Take an Uber to Lighthouse liquors, and then stop at Max's on your way back.

yeah, agreed. if a car is had, i also second the wine source in hamden, north of where you are. hamden also has many fantastic places to eat and drink, as does downtown.

have fun, and good luck work wise.

I have to agree with the others. Grab an uber to Lighthouse which will be a quick 10 minute ride from the Inner Harbor. Max's is unequaled in my opinion when it comes to beer bars in Baltimore and is less than a mile walk or a very short ride.

Max's is having Hop Fest this weekend. Should be lots of good leftovers especially if you get there early in the week.

As far as stuff you can't get in Missouri, I find that Lighthouse usually has the best selection of Maine Beer Co in Baltimore. Might find Lunch there with a little luck, but don't get your hopes up. If it's there, it's always on the shelves behind the cashiers. If you're going to be around this weekend, Max's will have Lunch and MO on tap for Hopfest.

Edit - should add that you can find quite a bit of MBC at Canton Crossing Wine & Liquor as well. However, I've never seen Lunch there and I find that their MBC bottles tend to be pretty dated. Not sure where you're staying exactly but you could probably also walk to Alewife, they have good burgers and a pretty solid taplist.

Is that Natty Boh shop still at Fell's Point, that place was great?

Getting ready to leave Baltimore in a couple hours. I wanted to report back and thank everyone again. Did make it to Lighthouse and it was just what I was looking for! Met Austin, who was working the counter, and clearly a fellow beer geek. He helped me find some good stuff. Unfortunately, I have to wait until early next week to dive into it as a friend who drove out is ferrying it home for me.

Stopped by Max's and unfortunately the main room was closed for some construction. Side bar was open, but no food, so we moved on. Another night we did walk up to Alewife and really enjoyed it. All in all a great beer visit. I really appreciate the suggestions. That is one of the many things that makes BA so great.
