Hey there, My wife is in Madison for the week on business, was wondering if there was a go to bottle shop in the area to pick up local goodies (NG, CW, etc etc..) Any suggestions on great Wisc. beer that I cant get here on the East Coast? Any info would be helpful. Thanks guys Cheers!
I usually go to Riley's http://rileyswines.com/ and/or Steve's http://www.stevesknows.com/ , you'll find New Glarus, Central Waters, Capital, Ale Asylum, Karben4, etc for sure there
Depends mostly on where she's staying and/or how mobile she is. There is more information in this previous thread. http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/madison-wi-best-place-to-buy-beer.349689/
Riley's (downtown/campus) and Steve's on Junction (west) or University (downtown/campus) are good options for their areas of town. Trixie's Liquor and Jenifer St Market are good for the "near-Eastside". Woodman's (West, East, Sun Praire [super far east]), HyVee (east, west), Whole Foods (downtown/campus), and Metcalf's (campus/downtown, west) grocery store liquor departments generally keep a good selection of everything, and are scattered around town. So, regardless of where she is staying, she should be within reasonable distance from a decent retailer.
