I am heading out to CA this weekend from FL. We will be spending our first night in Santa Rosa and visiting Russian River. What are your go to bottle shops in the area?
This doesn't answer your question but... make sure you also drop by Cooperage Brewing in Santa Rosa as well. It's reportedly where the Russian River staff go to get a drink. Cooperage does more of the hazy style of IPA, and their beers are pretty affordable.
Beercraft - rohnert park. Its10-15 minutes south but great beer selection and a small number of high end taps (sante adarius, cellarmaker, etc)
Also hit Henhouse Brewing Co. People always seem to forget about Henhouse when they visit SR and I think they're grossly underrated these days.
The closest bottle shop to RR is Willabees. It's like 2 blocks away. Ok beer selection, couple taps as well. Bottle barn is huge, and a couple miles north. Beercraft is fantastic and is about 10 miles south. This is your must hit spot.
I agree with all the people who said Beercraft. Its right off the freeway and there is decent pizza place close by (Mary's Pizza Shack). The good thing about Beercraft is great tap list and the fact that they have a strong selection of Southern California beers that you will not find anywhere else. Also everything I have purchased there has been fresh.
I have seen it at a couple places less than a month ago, but that was in so cal. Not sure about the bay area, you may get lucky but I wouldn't bet on it.
On the other hand... Stickee Monkee is out in a few places, so if you're interested in that, you may have an opportunity. I still see Bravo around, so that may not be as popular.
Save a bunch of Parabola on the shelf yesterday at Total Wine in Fremont. Has anyone seen Stickee Monkee in the south bay?
Your best bet to find Parabola is to look up Oliver's Supermarket (local Whole Foods type store). They usually have Firestone Walker special sitting on shelves.
I was just at the Whole Foods in Santa Rosa this morning (Yulupa Ave not Cottingtown) and they have at least a case in the fridge.
