    Hello all.

My wife and mother-in-law have strong armed me into taking them to that massive Christmas store in Frankenmuth in a couple weeks time. I've done some looking on my own and get the sense that The Lager Mill in Frankenmuth looks to be a good spot to do some shopping for my self.

I suppose my question is two-fold:

    1. If I can only stop once to shop for beer, is the Lager Mill my best option?
    2. Is there anywhere else I should either go instead, or in addition to the Lager Mill? I'll be crossing the border at Sarnia/Port Huron and taking the 69 and 75 towards Frankenmuth.

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

    Cheers!

I'd suggest taking 69 to I-475, backtrack South about 3 minutes to Oliver T's in Grand Blanc. You'll be able to hop back on 23/75 N close by. Oliver Ts is a must stop and has a wider selection than the Lager Mill IMO. Unfortunately, there are not many options between Flint and Frankenmuth/Saginaw.

Check them out on Facebook as well, they consistently post new stock. Enjoy Bronners this time of year:grimacing:

I completely agree with this^ response. Oliver T's has a great selection, and they allow you to take a single from any 6-pack, which IMO puts any store toward the top of my list (keep an eye on the bottle dates, though). Plus, they have an awesome cheese and pastry selection as well.

While I really like The Lager Mill (good with facebook updates and limited releases), their selection is relatively limited, but that helps from having the shelf dust problem Oliver T's has at times. I would most certainly stop there if you are already in Frankenmuth, though. And as @Boosully alluded to, you might want to grab something from the refrigerated section at Lager Mill (or maybe something on tap from Frankenmuth brewery, eg Christmastown) before trying to navigate Bronner's in mid-to-late December.

Thanks for the suggestion @Boosully and @Gemini6 .

Ya. I'm not looking forward to Bronners at all. A drink or two beforehand is definitely in order! I've been before, about 10 years ago in July. I suppose I will finally get to see what the parking lot looks like when it is full!
