Bottle Shop Rewards

Officially I get a $5 credit for every $100 spent. Unofficially I get a fair amount of freebies and discounts since I'm probably their biggest customer. Still not sure whether I should be proud or ashamed of that...

 

Canal's has bottle club which offers some discounts.

Also NJ Craft Beer club while not a bottleshop they have a huge (400+) membership of bottleshops, restaurants, etct that offer some really good discounts. For instance I can go to Canal's and use my Canals Bottle Club card to get a discount then present my NJCB card and get an additional discount. $2 on 6 packs, $1 on 4 packs. $6.99 DirtWolf ftw.

 

My local beer store doesn't really give any discounts, but once in a while they'll give me a free glass.

 

My only reward as of now is usually the manager will put aside something hard to get for me if they get some in. That's a pretty good reward to me though, so I'll take it. haha

 

I have a local store that get this. They give you $5.00 off for every $500 you spend. Please don't insult me. Good beer selection though.

 

I have 3 shops local that I can text when beers drop and they'll hold them. They also typically keep a couple extras in the back that could be made available in case I run into something really good that flies off the shelf.

I have gotten samples from two different stores I frequent for free. Both times I tried to buy the lonely beers in question, they weren't just offered, so luck and loyalty were involved.

 

No rewards really, but i get access to the backroom of beers that don't hit the shelves. so that works for me. They also hold beers for me when I can't make it in.

 

The guy that runs the local go-to place is just a great guy and has become a friend.

Enough for me.

 

As a beer rep two of my customers will sell me beer at or near cost. They laugh when they see me buying the competitor's products because the beer we distribute sucks.
My local bottle shop does not give discounts.

 

They know my name and do the homework I give them. "I'll be in on Friday afternoon and am feeling porter-ish. Find me a couple of good ones eh?" Sure enough on Friday evening they will have a couple of new porters for me.

 

Got a couple of coasters once.

 

Thirsty Thursdays 10% off all beer. They also let you mix your own six packs too, and if that six pack goes over $10, its 10% off of it on any day of the week. Not a bad deal, the taxes are about 10% here on purchases.

 

I received a free can of Heady just because I was a regular and got along well with the owners.

 

Is this for real? Seems like a pretty big discount.

 

The place I frequent has a really great guy and we've become friends. He takes care of me.

 

Whole foods did a 20% off all beer one time. It was a zoo. Due to the laws of only being able to buy 192 ounces at a time to take home it was pretty tough to get much. Long lines and by the time you paid , went to your car and came back the beer you wanted was gone. Bought a bunch of everyday stuff on the cheap. Got around $20 of "free" beer that day.
